At the Galaxy Unpacked 2020 event held yesterday, Samsung showed us not only the new line of Galaxy Note 10 smartphones and the previously shown Galaxy Tab S6 tablet and Watch Active 2, but also the new Galaxy Book S ultrabook. The main feature of this ultrabook was the world's first 7 - a nanometer processor designed specifically for computers.
Before moving on to describing the technical characteristics of the new brainchild of the Samsung computer niche, I would like to immediately identify several questions for myself in the form of content , the answers to which I will try to give in this material.

The latest models have 16 GB of RAM, and you can choose from 128, 256 and 512 GB of SSD storage.
Samsung laptops are sold in Platinum Titan color and have a 3.5 mm audio jack, two universal Thunderbolt3 ports, one USB-C, a microSD memory card slot, a 720p camera, two 1.5-watt speakers, a Wireless AC adapter and the ability to connect via Bluetooth 4.1. Depending on the configuration, the devices have a battery capacity of 40 or 54 Wh.
The more expensive Notebook 9 Pro with a 15-inch display can be purchased for 70,000 rubles. In addition to the increased screen diagonal, it features a separate AMD Radeon 540 graphics card (the small version has an integrated UHD Graphics 620), which helps you fully enjoy the large display. In all other respects, there are practically no differences between the versions.
All versions of the Notebook 9 Pro can transform from a laptop to a tablet thanks to a 360-degree screen rotation. The devices also have a special camera installed that allows face recognition using Windows Hello technology. It has the same screen resolution and almost identical technical characteristics, the main difference being 16 GB of RAM. Pay $200 more to get a version of the laptop with a separate GeForce MX150 graphics card.
Just like the previous model on our list, the 9 Pen has two Thunderbolt3 ports, one USB-C, a microSD card slot, and a headphone jack. As the name suggests, the kit also includes an S-Pen from Samsung, which will be especially useful for people in creative professions.

The price of the product is also pleasing: you can buy it for about 50-60 thousand rubles, it all depends on the version. Models with 13.3 and 15.6-inch displays are available.
The smaller version runs on an eighth-generation Intel Core i5-8250U processor and has an integrated graphics card. The amount of RAM is 8 GB, the storage capacity is 256 GB. The laptop has an HDMI port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, USB-C and USB-A ports. There is a directional microphone that is designed for students recording audio versions of lectures. The laptop also supports the use of the S-Pen, which, however, is not included.
The picture is completed by a backlit keyboard, a special fingerprint scanner and a 43 Wh battery. The laptop is just under two centimeters thick and weighs one and a half kilograms. The color of the model is called Stealth Silver.
The 15.6-inch variant is powered by an AMD Ryzen 5 2500U processor and has an AMD Radeon Vega 8 graphics card. It features a 480p webcam and a special shutter that can be closed if you are worried about your privacy.
The 13-inch model costs 58,000 rubles, the large version will cost 52,000 rubles.
Advantages and disadvantages
Despite the fact that the device has not yet gone on mass sale, it is necessary to note some of the pros and cons of the gadget.

We assume that by the end of the year Samsung will release an updated version of the model with a GPU from the new Nvidia RTX 20 series. Odyssey will cost you 128,000 rubles, but the price is fully justified by the power and technical characteristics of the laptop. With this device you can enjoy top games at the highest settings.
Dispute
Regardless of the model, sooner or later Samsung gaming laptops will require service. And if you miss this moment, then in 2-3 years you will have to buy a new device. Another significant problem is the complex configuration. If you can buy a new and improved hard drive for a computer, update a video card, etc., then this will not work with a laptop. Most often it has an integrated system or expensive components.
Therefore, to this day there are debates on the Internet about which is better, a laptop or a laptop computer. Of course, the mobility of a laptop plays a big role for many, but constant noise, heating, and objectively lower power tip the scales in favor of the PC.
