Appearance
The smartphone is made in a metal case, the color of the case matches the material. There are white inserts at the top and bottom of the front side. The earpiece is located in the top center, the front camera is to the right, and the proximity and light sensors are to the left. At the bottom there are 3 touch buttons (Back, Home, Menu), the central one in the form of a circle acts as a notification indicator. On the right side of the ZTE V5 PRO smartphone there is a volume button above and a power button below. On the left there is a recessed cover for the SIM card slot, Micro SD, for removal you use a needle, which is included in the package. The downside is that you can use either 2 SIM cards, or 1 together with a memory card. There is a headphone jack on the top left side, there is also a second microphone hole, and a USB input on the bottom side. On the back there is a camera eye with a blue rim, a flash, a fingerprint sensor, a ZTE logo and an audio speaker. The lower part seems to be removable, as there is a special protrusion. Does not bend, squeaks and crackles under physical impact are minimal. Light, thin and feels good in the hand.

Headquarters in Shenzhen.
The company develops and manufactures telecommunications equipment for PSTN networks, mobile networks, optical networks, data networks, smart networks () and next generation networks (NGN).
The company employs more than 85 thousand employees (as of 2010)[5].
According to the results of 2010, in the mobile phone market, according to IDC, the company took 4th place among the largest manufacturers (in unit terms)[6].
According to US authorities, from 2010 to 2020, ZTE sold devices made using parts from the United States to Iran and North Korea. In February 2020, the heads of the American intelligence services NSA, FBI and CIA recommended that American citizens stop using Huawei and ZTE smartphones, citing the fact that the devices could be used by the Chinese authorities for covert espionage. In May, the US Department of Defense banned the sale of devices from ZTE and Huawei on US military bases[7]. However, after resolving disagreements with the US government over the issue of selling devices to Iran in circumvention of sanctions, the company was given a probationary period until the end of 2020. During this period, the court and the US Department of Commerce planned to monitor the activities of ZTE, including its supply of equipment and technology. The Commerce Department was given deeper monitoring of the company and access to information about ZTE's operations than the court, for up to 10 years. Later, ZTE violated the terms of the settlement agreement by failing to fire employees involved in the illegal supply of American equipment to Iran. In October 2018, the trial period for the company was extended until 2022[8].
In May 2020, the company suspended operations due to US sanctions[9]. However, on May 25, US President Donald Trump confirmed information that his administration had reached an agreement with ZTE to lift the restrictions imposed on it on doing business with American companies[10].
Display
The overall feel of the display is not bad. The only negative for me is the insufficient brightness; outdoor information on the screen is difficult to read. Although compared to older models from ZTE, the brightness is much better. Good viewing angles. A large diagonal with good resolution gives pleasure when watching movies, typing texts, and playing games. By default, the display comes with a shipping film, which had bubbles right out of the box; after a week there were too many of them to leave the film on at all, but there is 1 more film in the kit. Responsiveness to touch is good. In general, in terms of characteristics and sensations it is not inferior to its analogues.

Performance
An 8-core processor and 2GB of RAM are responsible for performance. There were no freezes in the Android interface; everything opened quickly. It takes a long time to reboot, but this is probably a software problem, not a hardware problem. The graphics processor is responsible for the graphics - Adreno 405. I was able to install and play modern games - NFS No Limits and MK X. There are freezes, but not too often, and even then, not in the gameplay, but in the game menu. It gets very hot in the camera area. Regarding battery performance, there is a 3000 mAh battery installed here, it lasts for about a day and a half of active use, for ~2 and a half days with less active use. Charges quickly.

Smartphone camera
The quality of the pictures and the capabilities of the camera are best described by the pictures and screenshots of the settings attached below, of which there are a large number for aesthetes. The front camera has good viewing angles. When shooting in the dark with flash with the main camera, the photos come out with a strong yellowish tint.

First, I would like to send rays of anger to the seller from whom the smartphone was purchased. Whether this was done intentionally or not, malware was detected in the system immediately after unpacking, without even downloading a single application, before installing an external SD card, the purpose of which was to spam advertisements and install fraudulent applications. Removing all suspicious applications with Chinese characters without ROOT manually is not possible, the antivirus finds some of the malware and even seems to remove it, but after some time the same applications remind of themselves again. The seller does not send clean firmware upon request, he only refers to a video where the firmware is installed. For those owners who don’t want to bother with flashing and rooting their smartphone, we can recommend making wipes in recovery (resetting to factory settings), prohibiting the installation of malicious applications from unknown sources, and installing an antivirus.
Russification of the interface of the default firmware is not complete, about 80%. Another problem is that it’s impossible to add contacts, it complains about the number format, and the auto-brightness lags. By default, unnecessary applications such as KK browser are installed (the antivirus detects it as malware, but cannot be removed without ROOT), Magic Photo, Neoshare and several others. Version Android 5.1 with a custom proprietary interface nubia UI 3.0.1, if not for the problems described above, then in general there can be no complaints about the system, everything works quickly, the interface is pleasant. Literally after a couple of days of use, the system offered to update to version N939St_CNUnicom_1.34, but it is impossible to update, an error occurs.
At the moment, there are already several updated versions of the default firmware (1.29, 1.34), as well as a custom one (CM 12.1), and it seems that an update to Andrpod 6.0 is planned. Yes, I solved my problem with viruses by installing custom recovery TWRP, getting ROOT and cutting out suspicious applications manually.
