Great design, decent equipment
The bq Aquaris X smartphone costs less than about 14,000 rubles - this is a very attractive price for all its functions. It's well made, looks modern and fits comfortably in the hand. We really liked its display. The 5.2-inch screen has a good resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, a pixel density of 421 ppi and provides crisp contrast.
During testing, we measured the screen brightness, it turned out to be a fabulously high 701.2 cd/m², this is one of the best values. The bq Aquaris battery with a capacity of 3,100 mAh also performed above average; when surfing the Internet via an LTE connection, it lasted an excellent 10 hours and 44 minutes.
In addition, the phone has a fast charging function using the included Type-C cable, and a completely discharged battery will take less than two hours to be fully charged.
Nice design, Dual SIM and high quality materials and workmanship
Now about the processor, in the new phone bq developers are relying on the eight-core Snapdragon 626 processor from Qualcomm, which has a clock frequency of up to 2200 MHz. RAM is 3.0 GB. Sounds good! But, since such figures theoretically do not say very much, it is necessary to conduct a detailed test of processor speed and power.
We can note that the hardware works well with Google's Android 7 system. The manufacturer abandoned its own user interface; the advantage of this solution is that security updates come faster.
BQ Aquaris X2 and X2 Pro - new Android One smartphones
The Spanish company BQ introduced new flagship smartphones Aquaris X2 and Aquaris X2 Pro. The new products are successors to the original Aquaris X and Aquaris X Pro models and were released as part of the Android One program. Signature design, modern technical specifications and powerful dual cameras with artificial intelligence have become the main features of the second generation line.
The best Telegram channel about technology (possibly)
Aquaris X2 and Aquaris X2 Pro are equipped with a 5.65-inch LTPS screen with Full HD+ resolution and the current 18:9 aspect ratio. The frames at the top and bottom are quite thin; in both smartphones, the panel is protected by Gorilla Glass of an unknown version with 2.5D technology. The hardware platform is offered in two configurations and depends on the model: the Aquaris X2 has an eight-core Snapdragon 636 with a clock frequency of 1.8 GHz, and the Aquaris X2 Pro has the same eight-core, but more powerful Snapdragon 660 with a clock frequency of 2.2 GHz. The amount of RAM is 3 GB, 4 GB or 6 GB, and 32 GB, 64 GB or 128 GB drives are provided for storing files. The battery capacity is the same - 3,100 mAh, and supports fast charging according to the Quick Charge 4+ standard.
The new BQ smartphones are no different when it comes to photography. The main camera in the Aquaris X2 and Aquaris X2 Pro has two modules (12 megapixels with f/1.8 aperture and 5 megapixels with f/2.0 aperture), an additional sensor is responsible for creating the effect of depth. The front camera resolution is 8 megapixels (f/2.0 aperture). The manufacturer also notes support for patented SoftNeuro technology, which automatically detects a face in the frame and blurs the background. It is based on deep machine learning.

bq Aquaris X camera: Test shots in daylight
On the back of the bq Aquaris X, to the upper left of the fingerprint scanner, there is the main camera of the phone, which shoots with a resolution of up to 16 megapixels. True, good pictures are taken only in daylight; the worse the lighting, the more the quality suffers.
The camera received another minus for the lack of image stabilizer. In addition, the Aquaris-X camera takes 1.33 seconds to focus on the subject. Weak result compared to many competitors. Photos are stored in the phone's memory, which is about 23 GB, or on microSD.
With U Play, HTC delivers similarly equipped mid-range smartphones. Although it is not as confident as the Aquaris X. it provides the best alternative camera standings as well.

BQ Aquaris X2 Pro is a Russian smartphone that in many ways surpasses the iPhone X
Android 02/21/2018 | 13
For several years now, the Russian company BQ has been producing smartphones. Of course, the products are manufactured not in Russia, but in China, but this does not negate the fact that it is Russians, and not residents of other regions of the world, who work on the appearance, design, software and other aspects. Today, the manufacturer shared a teaser image in which you can see the BQ Aquaris X2 Pro smartphone.
Before the official image appeared, the BQ Aquaris X2 Pro smartphone was not known at all, that is, it was as if it did not exist. As you can easily see, the new product largely repeats the appearance of the iPhone X. This concerns the shape, size and location of the dual main camera, which has a place in the upper left corner of the back cover, as well as the glass back cover.
On the back of the BQ Aquaris X2 Pro there is a round fingerprint scanner, and on the front side you can see a frameless display with an aspect ratio of 18.5:9, most likely made using AMOLED technology. Do not assume that there is any button or indicator under the screen. This is just the logo of the manufacturing company, which up close looks like five fingers.
It is known that the new Russian smartphone is equipped with an 8-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor with a clock frequency of 2.2 GHz, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of permanent flash memory. The mobile device is part of the Android One line of phones, and therefore it is guaranteed that right out of the box it will be able to boast the Android 8.0 Oreo operating system, which will very quickly receive all OTA updates over the air. There is no need to talk about other technical characteristics of the BQ Aquaris X2 Pro yet.
Obviously, the new smartphone from Russian developers has in many ways surpassed the iPhone X. It has a fingerprint scanner, the absence of which many Apple phone owners complain about, and the front display is devoid of not only a cutout in the upper part, which prevents you from watching movies and photos, but also strong roundings on the sides, due to which the picture looks cropped.
We can only believe that the cost of BQ Aquaris X2 Pro in Russia will not exceed 20,000 rubles. The presentation of the phone, judging by the published teaser, will take place in the next few weeks. It is possible that the new product will be shown during the MWC 2020 exhibition in Barcelona, which will be held from February 25 to March 1. At the same event, Samsung Galaxy S9, Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact and Xiaomi Mi MIX 2s should be announced.
Attention! Until July 26, everyone can receive a Xiaomi Mi Band 5 sports bracelet for free, spending only 2 minutes on it.
