What to look for when choosing a keyboard for your computer

When choosing a keyboard, you need to take into account not only the cost of the device, but also the technical parameters. If you believe the descriptions, there are quite a lot of them, so people often buy into advertising ploys and advice from unscrupulous sellers. But experienced users pay attention to the following features of keyboards:

  • By type of keyboard there are mechanical and membrane;
  • Based on the connection method, devices are divided into wireless and wired;
  • The higher the ergonomics of the keyboard, the easier it will be to work with it;
  • To make work easier when there is a lack of light, you should choose a model with backlight ;
  • The larger the keys, the easier it will be to use the keyboard;
  • Additional features increase the cost of the model, however, you often have to overpay for them.

Cougar Attack X3 RGB

At 900 grams, the Cougar Attack X3 RGB is a real lightweight among gaming keyboards, despite the aluminum cover on the front side. The Attack X3 also uses Cherry switches. SMD LEDs placed next to the Cherry switches use the entire RGB spectrum of 16.7 million colors, and also provide bright and uniform backlighting of the keys.

Thanks to the N-Key Rollover feature, you can press an unlimited number of keys without fear of ghosting. Rubber feet located on the reverse side ensure reliable grip of the keyboard on the table in any gaming situation.

With Cougar's UIX software, you can not only set a different backlight color for each key, but also easily and quickly set up macros and profiles that can be saved to the keyboard's onboard memory for later use.

TOP 5 budget mechanical gaming keyboards

Hello, dear readers of the site Uspei.com. Agree, a mechanical keyboard is convenient both for games and just for typing. Therefore, not only gamers take them. But, first of all, they are used in gaming models, and the switches themselves are more expensive than the membrane, so the prices for such keyboards are almost always high.

I tried to choose the TOP 5 inexpensive popular mechanics. Each of them is good in its own way and deserves attention. The higher the price, the more the manufacturer offers in return. So I just arranged them in ascending order of cost. We can make a rating in the comments.

Real-El M14 Backlit (Blue Switch)

Let's start with the Real-El M14. This is the most accessible mechanic in this top. Simple as a brick, without any bells and whistles. With a standard skeleton design. But with a high-quality metal plate, which is very surprising considering the cost.

By the way, it is the heaviest keyboard of these five. No backlash or crunching. Jiate Blue switches . They, like Cherry MX Blue , have a clear, loud click. The manufacturer promises that they will withstand 60 million clicks.

The keyboard sounds loud. Relatives will not be happy with nightly gaming sessions. Declared support for N-key rollover . That is, you can knock however you like, everything will be recognized.

This is where advanced technologies end; the keyboard does not have its own software for fine-tuning. Each row of keys glows in its own color; you can only change the effects and brightness; there are three gradations in total and the ability to turn off the backlight completely.

But without backlighting, the characters are difficult to read. Although the caps are made of high-quality plastic with a pleasant matte surface, they are made using two-component casting.

By the way, this is the only model in the test with a two-story Enter. Shift is also quite big. The wire is long, almost two meters, braided, and for laying it on the bottom there are channels through which you can lead it up, to the right or left. And here you can see that all the legs are large and rubberized.

My first impression of the Real-El M14 was good. True, reviews about it are mixed.

Motospeed CK95 (Outemu Red)

The next one comes from Chinese Aliexpress. Literally 11 rubles more expensive than the first option. But with hints of design, monochromatic turquoise backlighting and switches from another manufacturer.
