Xiaomi recently released new Bluetooth wireless headphones Xiaomi Mi Air2 SE TWS (also known as AirDots 2 SE).
The release date will be May 19, 2020, and the cost will be $25 (1,800 rubles).

The dual-core processor speeds up the audio transmission process. Binaural synchronous transmission technology creates the conditions for music to be played synchronously in the left and right headphones. This means that the possibility of the slave earphone going out of sync and disconnecting from the master one is eliminated.
The advantages of the model include complete optimization of LHDC decoding, taking into account the features of the user interface of the MIUI firmware. The engineers decided to optimize the sound when using the gadget in conjunction with Xiaomi smartphones.
Owners of Xiaomi smartphones can take advantage of the low latency option, which is relevant when working with gaming and video applications. I wish the feature was available by default. However, the engineers decided that the user must enable it independently through the MIUI shell settings. Please note that when this option is enabled, the battery charge will be consumed much faster.
Another advantage of Xiaomi Mi Air 2S is its support for XiaoAI voice control, even while playing a music track. For this purpose, two built-in microphones are used.
The sound is provided by 14.2 mm speakers in combination with a dynamic driver and a composite diaphragm. The mids and highs are heard perfectly, the bass is a little less pronounced.

Xiaomi Mi Air 2 SE or Mi Air 2S: design
First of all, the most obvious difference is in appearance. Although both devices use different earphone and TWS charging case designs, unlike previous AirDots, the 2 SE's charging case has a more square shape and looks like a girl's makeup bag when opened. And thanks to their small size (22x54 mm), wireless headphones fit easily in your hand and do not take up much space - you can easily carry them with you and it will not cause any inconvenience.
As for the appearance of the 2S headphones, the headset looks exactly the same as the previous generation, with the same rectangular design.
Besides the different charger design, there are some differences between the headphones themselves. First of all, each earbud of the 2 SE weighs 4.7 grams, while the 2S weighs 4.5 grams. Mi Air 2 SE TWS turned out to be 0.2 g heavier. Although the difference is so small that it is not even felt when worn in the ear.
Both the Xiaomi Mi Air 2 SE and Xiaomi Mi Air 2s earphones use a semi-in-ear shape, thanks to which it fits well in the ear canal.
Battery life

But as for the direct use of Xiaomi Mi AirDots Pro 2, there are no complaints about them. They fit perfectly in the ears, as much as can be expected from wireless headphones of this form factor. The Chinese managed to replicate Apple's dimensions and make them almost ideal for placement in the auricle. Thanks to this, they don’t strain your ears like in-ear ones—you can listen quietly for several hours without interruption. Although, I still want to constantly adjust them so that they don’t fall out. Damn, well, it's not my thing..
The sound quality is also very decent. I tested them with compositions in different genres and was pleased. The sound is quite balanced. However, the richness of overtones is still lacking - still, the budget makes itself felt. As a result, having once again looked at all the goodies that Xiaomi AirDots 2 Pro provides for its owner for 3000 rubles, I am still perplexed by the haters who are trying to compare them with AirPods, which cost 4 times (!!!) more!
Honestly, for this price today it’s not so easy to find something of more or less comparable quality. Therefore, Xiaomi again managed to make the TOP device for its money in the segment of budget True Wireless headphones.

Connecting to a new device
✓ Place the earbuds into the charging case, then press the function button and hold it for 2 seconds. The charging case indicator light will flash white, indicating that the headphones are waiting to be connected.
✓ Turn on Bluetooth on the source device, find “Mi True Wireless Earphones 2” in the list of devices and establish a connection. If a password is required, enter "0000".
Connecting to a Xiaomi smartphone
To connect the headset to your Xiaomi smartphone, place the headphones in the case, close the case lid, and then open it. Make sure the Bluetooth function is activated on your smartphone. Follow the prompts on the smartphone display.
Note: Make sure you have the latest MIUI 10 software installed.
Connect to two devices
✓ Place one of the earbuds into the charging case, then press and hold the function button for 2 seconds. Use device A to search and connect to the earphone

Automatic connection
If the headset is in the charging case, open the case lid and the headphones will automatically connect to the last paired device. If no connection history is detected or the headphones cannot connect to any device, they will automatically enter connection standby mode.
Note: If the headphones cannot connect to the device automatically, you need to manually connect them to the device through the Bluetooth settings.
