For example, on my computer, with the IMac installed, it takes a long time to turn off - it goes out, but the fans still spin for some time, but with the specified Mac PRO everything is fine.
In the last point of System Parameters, it is important to set Inject Kext -> Yes, Inject System ID.
Very often, it is enough to simply add SMBIOS to the automatically generated config.plist, but as I already wrote, everything depends only on your hardware.
Important! If, when setting up the configuration file, for some reason you are not convinced of its functionality, you enabled the fast boot “Fast” or the timer “0”, and you need to get into the Clover panel, then immediately after loading the BIOS, press the “ Space ” key several times. This will bring up the boot selection and boot loader configuration window.
If you didn’t succeed the first time, then you can mount the EFI partition using EFI Mounter. In Sierra, just using the command in the terminal:
- diskutil list - will show the entire list of disks
- diskutil mount disk0s1 - where disk0s1 the EFI partition number
In order not to be unfounded, I placed the config configured when writing it in EFI and rebooted wonderfully. That is, for my hardware it is enough to simply add SMBIOS to the automatic config.plist created by CLOVER.
Try it, don’t be scared if you don’t succeed the first time, everyone goes through this. Remember that a properly configured config is not only suitable for Mavericks or El Capitan - it is suitable for both Sierra and Yosemite.
Also, in the future, you can use the contents of the EFI partition of your hard drive for bootable flash drives, but only if you create it for your PC. But don’t forget to set the timer, add -v, and possibly some other argument required for installation.
