Rockstar Games Launcher: Offline Mode - What to Do

Working offline means that the user has the ability to open the site without an Internet connection. True, you can only open a site that you have already opened before. For example, you read an entertaining story on the Internet. A few days later, you wanted to refresh your memory of this story. But there is no Internet connection at the moment. In this case, there are two possible options. Either the user temporarily forgets about his desire, or tries to open the page offline.

Using offline mode

In other words, in fact, the computer can remember individual pages of sites that you have visited. You can open such pages even without an Internet connection. Unfortunately, not all pages will open offline. The ability to view some sites offline is only possible with special saving.

Many people never use offline mode, although this method can be useful if there are restrictions on data usage. It’s easy to use: enable it by checking the checkbox in the corresponding line in the “File” menu. In the magazine, select the page you previously visited, then try to go to it. If the page is saved in the browser cache, you will see it. When the Internet connection is restored, offline mode must be removed manually. But how to disable offline mode?

What does "offline mode" mean in Samsung GT-S5611?

Offline mode on your phone is also called airplane mode. This is when communication is not available, and the phone is only available in media services mode. In offline mode, you can read, listen to music, watch movies from the internal memory of your phone (smartphone).

Pro100th

In my opinion, all Samsungs (I know five models for sure) have an offline mode and if you use it and check the box, there will be no connection, but everything else will work.

When you fly on an airplane, they ask you to turn it on, and I usually fulfill this request, although even when I didn’t fulfill it (purely out of curiosity), there was still no connection in the air.

Disable offline mode in Explorer

There are several ways to disable offline mode in Internet Explorer. Most often, the need to perform such an operation may arise when the browser automatically goes into offline mode.

  • Typically, when working offline, attempting to navigate to any site will result in a corresponding warning. For example, in Internet Explorer, the following will appear: “This web page is not available offline. To view this page, click Connect. Right there, just below, there are two buttons: “Offline” and “Connect”. How to remove offline mode? To do this, you just need to select “Connect”.
  • Click “File” on the top toolbar in the Internet Explorer application window. Then, in the drop-down menu, uncheck the “Work offline” box. If you don’t have this panel at the top of your window, right-click on the empty gray field at the top of the program. A menu will appear where you will need to click on “Menu Bar”.

To disable offline mode in Internet Explorer, run:

  • Go to the “Service” item.
  • Expand the “Internet Options” link.
  • Go to the “Connections” dialog box that opens and check the “Never use dial-up connections” checkbox.
  • Click the “Network Settings” button.
  • In the “Configure local network settings” dialog box that opens, uncheck all the boxes.
  • Click the “OK” button, then confirm your choice by clicking “OK” again as required.
  • Next, close the “Internet Options” window.
  • Reboot the computer.

Another way to disable offline mode in Explorer:

  • Click the “Start” button. Thus, we call up the main menu of the system.
  • Go to the “Run” line
  • Enter the value “regedit” in the “Open” field that appears. Click the “OK” button to confirm the launch of the “Registry Editor”.
  • Expand the registry branch HKEY+CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings and select the DWORD GlobalUserOffline key.
  • Enter the value of the selected parameter: “00000000”
  • Next, we close the “Registry Editor” window.
  • Reboot the computer.

What does “Offline” mode mean in a smartphone?

Yesterday my phone spontaneously went into “Offline” mode and it was partially blocked (on the display at the top there was the word “Offline” and to the left there was a black cross). Reception and sending of messages or calls during this period was blocked, and key presses were accompanied by beeps (signal). The phone also turned off instantly, unlike in the past - gradually. Just today, when I turned on the phone, I noticed the question: “Should I continue to work in offline mode? “If I click “Yes”, then it asks me to enter the SIM card (it’s already sitting inside). I clicked "No" and it went into normal mode - Normal. I still don’t understand why my phone started playing with me and why the hell is this “Offline” mode if it blocks its operation on the cellular network?

No signal

This mode is needed for partial use on an airplane (you can’t use mobile communications in it - the airplane’s electronics may malfunction) - listen to music, watch a movie, read a book. For example, I have a program installed that puts the smart phone into this mode at night (according to a given schedule), so that all sorts of idiots don’t call or send SMS. This mode can still be turned on if there are problems with the SIM card.

Sometimes you can come across a statement according to which mobile phone owners who do not fully use the “offline mode” function are needlessly losing some potential opportunities.

But is this really so?

Possibility provided by the manufacturer

As you know, devices with multiple active SIM cards are now very popular. Undoubtedly, this is very convenient, as it allows the owner to choose call tariffs. At the same time, if you study the reviews of owners of such solutions, it becomes clear that two numbers in one phone cause increased energy consumption from the source, which, frankly speaking, is not enough anyway. Taking into account this feature, manufacturers have included in all modern operating systems the ability to disable transceiver modules, called “offline mode”. In other words, when activated, the phone turns into a small laptop computer or calculator (depending on hardware capabilities). In addition to the task of saving battery energy, the offline mode on the phone is needed during air travel, when it is prohibited to use mobile communications unless absolutely necessary.

And finally, in some cases, disabling SIM cards makes it possible to solve specific problems. For example, by using the offline mode, a person can place the phone next to him before going to bed, essentially turning it into a safe (non-emitting) alarm clock.

Misconception

Not every owner of a mobile communication device knows that the device emits radio waves not only when making or receiving a call, but also when in standby mode. Thus, according to the cellular communication standard, any mobile phone must periodically exchange service data with the nearest base station, and in automatic mode. That is, the network must “know” which SIM cards are currently connected, what capabilities the device is endowed with and where it is located (although the latter - UpdateGEO - may theoretically not be used). That is why one cannot assume that a mobile phone lying on a table does not emit anything by itself. Thus, to reduce potential harm, offline mode is essential. This should be remembered.

Disable offline mode for Opera and Mozilla

When you try to go to a site in offline mode in Mozilla Firefox, a message appears on the screen stating that offline mode is enabled and that: “... in this mode, working with sites on the Internet is impossible.” The following instructions are given: “Click “Try again” to connect to the Internet and reload the page.” After clicking “Try again”, the offline mode in the browser will turn off itself.

When working with Opera, everything happens similarly. How can I disable offline mode without waiting for a warning to appear in Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer? You can do this through the “File” menu: uncheck the “Work offline” box.

Similarly, you can use the “Menu” button in the top line of the Opera browser to select the “Settings” line, then select “Work offline.”

The Opera browser has a very convenient function to display different buttons on the panel. You can also add a button to enable offline mode. This will allow you to turn offline mode on and off by simply clicking on the icon. For this:

  • "Service" menu
  • then - “Design”,
  • then - “Buttons”,
  • select the category “My Buttons”,
  • find the "offline mode" icon
  • drag it with the mouse into the address bar area.

By clicking on the “offline mode” button, you will notice that it has changed its color. This is convenient, because in order to check the operating mode of the computer, a fleeting glance is enough.

To use another option to turn off offline mode when working in the Opera browser:

  • you need to disconnect the established connection to the Internet and call the main system menu through the “Start” button;
  • go to the line “All programs”;
  • launch the Opera application;
  • open the main menu in the program and select the “Settings” item;
  • Uncheck the “Work offline” box.

Offline mode has been introduced in browsers for the convenience of users and allows you to view previously visited pages without an Internet connection. When a connection to the network is established, the offline mode does not turn off automatically; it must be removed manually.

Instructions

  • Typically, when you try to navigate to any page while offline mode is enabled, the browser displays a warning.
For example, if you are using Internet Explorer, you will see the message: “This web page is not available offline. To view this page, select Connect. Below the message there are two buttons: “Connect” and “Offline”. By selecting the first one, you will cancel the automatic mode and can go to the page you are interested in.
  • Other browsers also issue similar messages. If you want to disable offline mode without waiting for the warning to appear, in Internet Explorer, open the “File” menu and uncheck the “Work offline” option. In Mozilla Firefox and Opera browsers, disabling offline mode occurs in exactly the same way.
  • The Opera browser has the ability to display various buttons on the panel, which significantly increases the ease of use. You can also add a button to turn on/off the offline mode, which will allow you to switch with a simple mouse click on the icon. To do this, open the menu “Tools” - “Design” - “Buttons”. Select the “My Buttons” category, find the offline mode icon and drag it to the address bar.
  • Many users never use offline mode, although this option is useful if there are traffic restrictions. Using the offline mode is very simple: turn it on by checking the corresponding line in the “File” menu. After that, open the magazine, select any page you visited previously and try to go to it. If the page is saved in the browser cache, you will see it. It is worth noting that not all pages can be viewed this way. Offline viewing of some sites is only possible if they are specially saved.

In modern society, it is difficult to imagine a person who would not know what the Internet, browser, link and similar terms are. Some users are well versed in the software and setting up the computer itself, however, there are those who sometimes need help in solving various issues. It is well known that in order to access the World Wide Web, a browser must be installed on an electronic computer - a program specially created to display Internet pages. Today there are a lot of similar browsers, however, everyone is well aware of Internet Explorer, a standard program integrated into the Windows package.

Lost connection? No problem - in this article we will tell you how to work on the Internet autonomously.

As we have already found out, to access the network, a browser must be installed on the computer, and, of course, it must be connected and configured to work on the World Wide Web. However, even if the Internet is disconnected, you can still browse the pages. How to do this?

The offline mode function is intended primarily to ensure that the user, in the event of restricted access to the network, can still view Internet pages. But this function only works for pages that have already been opened before.

To enable it, you need to open the browser and go to the “Service” tab, where you will find the inscription “Work offline”, with a red cross (disabled) or a bird (enabled) next to it.

Physical connection problems

For full operation of any printing device you need at least two cords. The network cable allows you to supply electricity, without which work is not possible in principle. The second is a USB or ethernet cable, depending on the method of connection to a personal computer or laptop. There is a third way to connect a printer without physically creating a connection. We are talking about wireless Wi-Hi.

Regardless of the type of connection chosen, it is necessary to check the presence of high-quality “joining” and the integrity of the cords. Try using another set of similar cables from similar equipment for your text.

Using offline mode

After enabling the function, you can start directly browsing the Internet. Use bookmarks to open the required global network resource, and if they are missing, enter the name in the address bar. If a window pops up on the screen in which the program tells you that this page cannot be opened, alas, nothing can be done. This is a fairly common problem, so we recommend that you open pages that interest you using the “Journal”.

It’s not news to anyone that any browser saves all the user’s movements and open sites in the so-called “History”, or in the IE browser - “Journal”. It is here that the user himself can view and remember when and what pages he opened. To open the magazine, click on the “Favorites” button, next to which there will be a yellow star. In the window that appears, three tabs will appear, including “Favorites”, “Channels” and “Journal”. Open the latter and you will see a drop-down menu with which you can sort web portals according to different criteria, and just below the days of the week when you used the browser. If you click on the site you are interested in, a list of pages you have visited on this web resource will open below it.

Now take a look at these pages. If the font in which they are written is transparent, then you will not be able to open it using offline mode, and when the text is bright and rich, then, most likely, the page will be opened.

How to use offline mode

Offline mode allows you to view pages you've already visited, even when you're not connected to the internet. But not all sites will be able to open in this way. This function can be used if you have previously made a special save. Also, for your convenience, if you plan to use IE as your main browser, we recommend.

To do this, open the browser and go to the File menu. Place a check mark next to the corresponding inscription. Open the history journal. In it you need to find the web page that interests you. Now let's try to open it. Offline mode is a convenient feature, for example, when Internet traffic is limited by your provider.

However, when connected to the network, you will have to disable this function manually.

In addition, sometimes the browser goes offline of its own accord, which is not very desirable. That is why you need to know how to deactivate the function. Let's look at how to do this in internet explorer.

Using email offline

In addition to browsing the web when disconnected, the feature in question allows users to work with Gmail email. Even in the absence of the Internet, you have the opportunity to check your mail, write letters, save them, and so on. The written letters will be saved in the “Outbox” folder, from which, as soon as a connection is established, they will be sent to the specified recipient.

To enable this feature, go to your Gmail page and go to settings. Here you will see many tabs, among which will be “Offline”. After you go to it, you will be asked to install Gmail Offline, a special plugin that allows you to work with mail without access to the World Wide Web and synchronizes data after the advent of the Internet. After installation, the corresponding icon will appear in the “Services” menu. When you open the plugin for the first time, the utility will ask you whether to start using it or not use it for now. Once you agree, you will be taken to a lite version of the Gmail mail page. Now you can come here and work whenever your Internet connection is lost.

Using offline web surfing in the HandyCache application

The HandyCache program intelligently organizes a disk cache, increasing the likelihood of opening a web page offline.

  • Download the latest version of the HandyCache application.
  • The program does not require a classic installation - the folder from the archive file is copied to the system folder Program Files. Run the executable file handycache.exe.
  • Windows Firewall will ask if you want to block the application - click the Unblock button. Don't let Windows Firewall block HandyCache
  • In the HandyCache settings, check the “Launch at system startup” and “Allow loading of only one instance of the program” checkboxes.
Customize the application to your taste, but do not forget to check the boxes from step 4 of the instructions
  • Right-click on the HandyCache icon in the tray next to the system clock and select “Save settings”.
  • On the "Connections" tab of the "Internet Options" menu of Internet Explorer, set the proxy address to 127.0.0.1 and port 8080. These steps are the same for all versions of Windows.
    Save your settings.

The “Proxy server” section will become active if you check the flag marked in the screenshot

  • Wander around some sites - Internet Explorer will write web page files not to hidden Windows directories, but to the ...\HandyCache\Cache folder.
  • Right-click on the HandyCache tray icon and select “Work offline.” In the same context menu, check the “Write to cache” checkbox.
  • Go to a previously visited site from Internet Explorer history. Offline mode works. All temporary files of the site being opened are saved in the real program folder...\HandyCache\Cache.
  • To turn off offline mode, uncheck “Work offline” in the context menu of the HandyCache tray icon.
  • Offline mode is enabled and disabled directly in Internet Explorer settings or through the Windows registry. Disabling it in IE 11 requires resetting your browser. For offline web sefing, you can use the HandyCache utility.

    Disable offline mode

After you finish working in offline mode, we recommend that you disable it, because sometimes the browser automatically switches to offline mode, which, of course, is undesirable.

The first and easiest way to disable it is through the set of actions you took to enable it. Just uncheck the box next to “Work offline.”

You can also disable this feature by going to the Tools tab in the menu bar and opening Internet Properties. There you need to go to the “Connections” section and prohibit the program from using dial-up connections. Then you need to go to the “Network Settings” menu and uncheck all the boxes. After that, click “OK”, thereby confirming the accepted changes, and reboot the device for them to be applied. If you don't find the tab described, your menu bar may be hidden. To open it, click the mouse at the top of the browser and select “Menu Bar” from the drop-down menu.

Here, in fact, is all the necessary information and actions that will help you in the event of such an annoying problem as a lost Internet connection. By the way, setting up offline access to mail is possible not only for Gmail, but also for other mail services. Look through your mail settings and you will probably find a similar item.

Sometimes when we go to a (pre-existing) page we get 404

    error - page not found.
This page has been deleted, the site is not accessible, etc., but how to view the deleted page
? I will try to answer this question and offer four ready-made options for solving this problem.

Phone offline mode: what is it?

Activating this mode means disabling all network functions.
The mobile device can operate without registering on the network, as well as without a SIM card. In fact, autonomous operation means that it works separately, while the antenna is turned off. Why do you need offline mode? It is convenient to use in places where the use of a mobile device is prohibited. For example, it is suitable for an airplane or a cinema. We will not be able to receive and make calls, receive and send SMS messages, but all other functions of the device will remain available to us: camera, organizer, games, etc. As for the connection to the operator's network, there will be no connection due to the blocking of the radio signal.

As already mentioned, our device can work without a SIM card. In this case, we will be able to use emergency numbers and connect to a local wireless network (for example, we can check email). It is also possible to use .

So, we figured out what it is and why it is needed. The autonomous mode appeared a few years ago as a way out of the situation for those who travel by air. Often this function is implemented as Fly Mode, that is. It allows device owners to pass the time during a long flight by playing games or listening to music.

Activating this mode is also useful if we are outside the coverage area of the cellular network and want to save battery power on our device. This is the function that experienced travelers usually use.

Unfortunately, often when offline mode is activated, GPS, GSM and Wi-Fi (in some device models) stop working. You can try restarting your phone as this sometimes helps.

    Option 1: Browser Offline Mode

To save traffic and increase page loading speed, browsers use a cache. What is cache? Cache

    (from the English
    cache
) - disk space on a computer allocated for temporary storage of files, which include web pages.

So try viewing the deleted page from your browser cache. To do this, go offline

    .

Note: Offline viewing of pages is only possible if the user has visited the page previously and it has not yet been removed from the cache.

How to enable offline browser mode?

    For Google Chrome

    ,
    Yandex.Browser
, etc., offline mode is available only as an experiment.
Enable it on the page: chrome://flags/ - find “Offline cache mode” there and click the “ Enable
    ” link.

Turn offline mode on or off in the Google Chrome browser

    In Firefox

(29 and older) open the menu (the button with three lines) and click on the “
    Development
” item (wrench), and then the “
    Work offline
    ” item.
Turn offline mode on or off in Firefox
    In Opera

Click the “Opera” button, find the “
    Settings
” item in the menu, and then click the “
    Work offline
    ” item.
How to enable or disable offline mode in Opera?
    In Internet Explorer

    - press the Alt button, (in the menu that appears) select the “
    File
” item and click the “
    Offline mode
    ” menu item.

How to disable offline mode in Internet Explorer 11?

Let me clarify - in IE 11

The developers have removed the offline mode switch.
The question arises - how to disable offline mode in Internet Explorer 11?
Doing the opposite will not work, reset your browser settings.

To do this, close running applications, including the browser. Press the key combination Win + R and (in the Run window that opens) enter: inetcpl.cpl, press the Enter button. In the Internet Properties window that opens, go to the Advanced

    "
On the tab that opens, find and click the “ Restore advanced settings
” button, and then the “
    Reset…
    ” button that appears.
In the confirmation window, check the “ Delete personal settings
” box and click the “
    Reset
    ” button.

    Antivirus quarantine check

Almost every antivirus system has a place where it moves suspicious files and entire applications. It is often called quarantine. If there are any failures in applications or games, you should first look into quarantine. If even one file comes under suspicion, the entire application is sent to the system “jail” or offline. But we, as a system administrator, can rescue programs.

For example, let's take the popular set of security utilities from Avast.

If it is installed on your computer, try finding the Rockstar Games Launcher files like this:

    1. Launch the program from the main desktop or from a window where all applications running in the background are displayed;
    2. Select “Protection” from the menu on the left;

      Select the "Protection" menu item

    3. Then select the window called “Virus Vault”;

      Select "Virus storage"

    4. In the list, find the launcher if its files are displayed here. After selection, the “Remove from quarantine” (or delete) button will become available.

Select a locked file from the list and restore

Using this method, you can remove all applications that you trust from this section. If you have another antivirus, find instructions for it on the Internet or on YouTube.

Option 2: copies of pages in search engines

Earlier I told you that search engine users don’t need to go to sites - just look at a copy of the page in a search engine, and this is a good way to solve our problem.

    On Google

    — use the info: operator, specifying the desired URL. Example:

    To Yandex

    — use the url: operator, specifying the desired URL. Example:

Hover your mouse over the (green) URL in the snippet and click the “ copy”

    ».

The problem is that search engines only store the last indexed copy of the page. If a page is deleted, over time it will become unavailable in search engines.

Causes of problems with Rockstar Games Launcher

An error when launching a GTA game may be that when the launcher accesses the network, its operation may be blocked by both built-in security measures and additional ones. The built-in ones include Windows Firewall. Additional are antivirus tools that you could install on your computer as an alternative. For example, popular antivirus systems: Avast, Kaspersky, AVG and others. The error may also occur if you have already used the launcher before and the game launched successfully.

    Rockstar Games Launcher

Often, problems with Rockstar Games Launcher occur due to recently installed updates. If the launcher was updated before using it, most likely the creators of these updates themselves are to blame for the problem. Before immediately starting to solve this error, you need to check your own Internet connection. It is possible that there is currently no offline access to the network due to the fault of your provider, technical work is being carried out on the line, etc.

This may be useful: Only GTA:SA version 1.0 is supported what to do MTA.

    Option 4: Archive.today

A simple and (unfortunately) passive service for creating copies of web pages is Archive.today. You can access a deleted page if it was copied by another user to the service archive. To do this, enter the URL in the first (red) form and click the “ submit url”

    ».

After that, try to find the page using the second (blue) form.

    I recommend!
I thought: What should I do if the page is not deleted?
It happens that it is simply impossible to access the site. I found an article by Victor Tomilin
, which is called “I can’t access the site” - where the author not only describes 4 ways to solve the problem, but also recorded a visual video.

    at 22:40Edit message

Sometimes, when we go to one of the previously visited pages on the Internet, we receive 404

    error - page not found.
It is possible that this page has been deleted, it is possible that the site is currently unavailable, etc., but this makes us neither warm nor cold. A logical question arises: how to view a deleted page?
In this article I will try to answer this question and offer you four ready-made options for solving this problem. Let's get started?

    Option 1: Browser Offline Mode

To save traffic and increase page loading speed, many modern browsers use the so-called cache. What it is? Cache

    (from the English
    cache
) is disk space on your computer, allocated specifically for temporary files, which include web pages.

So if the page is deleted or the Internet is not available to you, you can use the data from the browser cache. To do this you need to switch to the so-called offline mode

browser operation. How to do it?

Note: To view a remote page offline, it must be present in the browser cache. This only happens if you have previously visited this page. But you need to remember that the cache is periodically cleared by the browser itself. Much here depends on the disk space allocated for the cache in the browser settings.

How to enable offline browser mode?

For a browser based on the Chromium

    , and this is
    Google Chrome
    ,
    Yandex.Browser
    ,
    Internet
    from Mail.ru,
    Rambler Browser
, etc., there is no offline mode.
More precisely, it exists, but only as an experiment. To activate it, go to the system page: chrome://flags/ - and find “Offline cache mode” there, and then click the “ Enable
    ” link in it.

Turn offline mode on or off in the Google Chrome browser

    In Firefox

(version 29 and older) you need to open the menu (by clicking on the button with three stripes, it is usually located in the upper right corner of the browser window) and click on the “Development” item in it (in the form of a wrench), and then the “
    Work offline
    ” item.

Turn offline mode on or off in Firefox

    In the Opera

Click the “Opera” button, find the “Settings” item in the menu, and then click the “
    Work offline
    ” item.

How to enable or disable offline mode in Opera?

    In Internet Explorer

you need to press the Alt button, select the “
    File
” item (in the menu that appears) and click the “
    Offline mode
    ” menu item.

How to disable offline mode in Internet Explorer 11?

It's worth clarifying that in IE 11

The developers have removed the ability to enable and disable offline mode.
Here another problem arises: how to disable offline mode in Internet Explorer 11?
Here you won’t be able to do the reverse; you need to reset your browser settings.

To do this, close all applications, including the browser. Next, press the Win + R key combination and enter: inetcpl.cpl - in the “Run” window that opens, press the Enter button. In the Internet Properties window that opens, go to the Advanced

    "
On the tab that opens, find and click the “ Restore advanced settings
” button, and then the “
    Reset…
    ” button that appears.
In the confirmation window, check the “ Delete personal settings
” box and click the “
    Reset
    ” button.

How to disable offline mode? Instructions

If you have the ability to open a website without an Internet connection, you can work using offline mode. But in this case, you will be able to open only those resources that have already been viewed before. To help you understand what we are talking about, imagine that you were reading an article on the Internet. After some time, you decide to do it again, but the connection is interrupted. In this case, offline mode is activated.

Your computer has the ability to remember some of the pages of websites you visit. The offline mode in this case will allow you to open them when the Internet connection is inactive. However, previously visited sites will not always open in this mode.

Nowadays, when almost every apartment has unlimited Internet, this mode is practically not used, but in cases where you need to pay for each megabyte, it will be very useful. So if the issue of economical use of traffic is important to you, you can periodically activate this function. However, users may encounter another problem. It happens that when you launch your browser, you receive a message from it that it is impossible to open a particular site due to active offline mode.

Let's talk about how to disable offline mode in some common browsers. For example, in Opera, when you try to go to some resource, you will see a message on the display stating that this mode is currently active, so it is impossible to work with sites. You will then be given instructions on how to disable offline mode. To do this, you must click on the retry button and reload your page. After these steps, this mode should turn off, and the site you need will load.

As for such a popular browser as Chrome, it does not have an offline mode, so such problems will never arise there. I don’t know why the developers thought that it would not be useful to users. Perhaps in the future this function will be introduced into it.

As for how to disable offline mode in another well-known browser called Mazila, this procedure is similar to Opera’s. But you can still do this without waiting for such warnings to appear. To do this, you need to call the menu through the “File” tab, in which you uncheck the offline work line.

With Opera, this is done by clicking on the menu button, which is located in the very top line, and there you need to click on the settings section, in which you can deactivate offline operation. This browser also has another way to disable offline mode. In Opera, you can use the unique function of placing various buttons on the panel. So do this with the button that is responsible for this mode.

We have discussed with you what offline mode is in browsers, why it is needed, and how to disable it. Just do not confuse this function with a similar one in some games. Steam's offline mode has nothing to do with this. The names are really very similar, but that's the only similarity.

Option 2: Copies of pages in search engines

I already noted once that it makes no sense for search engine users to go to sites, because you can view copies of their pages in the search engine itself. One way or another, this is a good way to view a deleted page.

    Google

You can use the info: search query operator, specifying the desired URL, for example:

    the Yandex search engine

You can use the url: search query operator, specifying the desired URL, for example:

Here we need to hover over the (green) URL in the snippet, and then click the “ copy”

"and we will receive the latest version of the deleted page saved in Yandex.

The problem is that search engines only store the most recently indexed copies of pages. If a page has been deleted, over time it may become unavailable in the search engine cache.

    About the mode

The mode allows you to work in the Internet Explorer browser without a network. However, you can visit and read only those pages that you or another computer user have already visited before, since the system has already managed to remember them.

The option must first be enabled in the settings. We'll talk about this a little later. Open your bookmarks to find the resource you need. You can also use the address bar for navigation or the Visit Log. The last option, by the way, is preferable. Otherwise, a window may appear with an inscription indicating that the page cannot be opened.

    1. Click on the star in the top bar of the browser. Switch to the Journal tab.
    2. There will be categories: by date, by node, by popularity and others. Select the one you need and find the site in the list.

    Option 3: WayBack Machine

There is such a wonderful service on the Internet as WayBack Machine, I recommend taking it into account. In fact, this is an entire Internet archive that contains the history of the existence of many sites.

Viewing site history on the WayBack Machine

Its essence is simple. You enter the URL you need, and the service tries to find copies of it in its database with a date reference. Unfortunately, the service does not index all sites, much less their pages, but still. This is a real way to recover a previously deleted page.

    Option 4: Archive.today

A fairly simple and (unfortunately) passive service for creating copies of website web pages is the Archive.today service. In other words, in order to gain access to a remote page, it must have been previously copied to the service by someone. To do this, enter the URL in the first (red) form and click the “ submit url”

    ».

After that, you can try to find the page you need using the second (blue) form. As a result, you will see copies of pages available in the archive.

It is possible that there are other options for solving the problem with viewing deleted pages, but I think that what has been said will be quite enough. That's all I have. Thank you for your attention. Good luck!
