    It is interesting primarily because it offers the “services” of smart watches without their presence, in other words, sleep control using a smartphone or tablet. Sleep as Android is a rather controversial program, which is both criticized and praised, and some simply cannot figure it out. That is why we will look at this alarm clock separately to find out the usefulness of this type of program.

    As for the results, here we will do the traditional thing - we will divide all participants into four categories and choose the best application in each. The first category is “Replacement for a system solution” (Android alarm clock), the main requirements for which will be minimal resource consumption and good functionality. The second will include “Alarm Clocks” (aka “Bedside Solutions”) with good design. Here the requirements are different - an excellent interface with an average load for the system, as well as flexible settings.

    First impression

    The first thing we see is a clearly structured screen with a minimalistic interface: it’s immediately clear what’s what. There are five tabs in total where you can find sleep history, detailed statistics, recordings of snoring and other sounds in the night, as well as add-ons. There are many of the latter, and they are quite interesting.

    It is possible to download an add-on that saves data to the cloud and also synchronizes it with other devices, an add-on that adapts the screen to solar cycles, filters out blue light and guarantees healthy sleep. Moreover, the application can work in conjunction with various gadgets, for example, a smart watch or a smart SleepMask.

    There was also a left sidebar (we’ll look at it in more detail during testing), where alarm clocks, a healthy sleep mode, various tips, as well as duplicate tabs at the very top of the screen are hidden.

    What is important is that although we use a two-week trial, it is without any advertising, and the program itself costs a penny - only 30 rubles.

    Now let's move on to the settings, which are hidden in the upper right corner. There are, frankly, a great many of them. The first thing you can do is set the optimal sleep duration (from half an hour to thirteen and a half hours). Looking ahead, we will say that the program will do this for you, and the default cost is a reasonable seven hours.

    Below we set up an alarm clock. In this case, you can install any melody or use the built-in ones, of which there are many, and they are quite interesting. It is possible to create your own playlist and play the tracks randomly, in order or once.

    There are also functions of an increasing signal, which is flexibly adjusted (from 1 to 24 minutes), vibration and the ability to work even with the sound turned off in the system.

    Let us note the so-called backup alarm clock, which screams “good obscenities” after the main signal (“control shot”). It is flexibly customizable and will repeat itself repeatedly every minute or twenty minutes (depending on settings).

    Among other features, we highlight the ability to turn the device over to take a nap, assigning an action (snooze/turn off the alarm) to the physical volume and camera keys, long tap to snooze, and the ability to fix the screen orientation. In this case, you can make it so that only headphones act as the signal source.

    Next, configure the “Delay” function. Here you can set the duration of the pause (you can select it manually), and also impose restrictions on the number of attempts to take a nap.

    There is also “half-sleep”, that is, the interval before the next call is reduced by half each time after pressing the “Snooze” button. In this case, you can “take a little nap after the signal” and allow you to increase the “nap” manually.

    To connect an Amazfit fitness bracelet or smartwatch to the application, you need to follow a few simple steps:

    • On the start screen, select the gear icon.
    • Scroll to the Integration section.
    • Click on the "Smart Watch" item.
    • Select the first element.
    • Apply one of the four available options.
    • Configure the accompanying software that is necessary for correct operation. It is indicated below the device name in the list.

    This completes the setup of Sleep as Android for working with the Mi band 3 tracker.

    Pzizz

    The trick of the Pzizz app is that to fall asleep, you just need to press a button. The developers may have exaggerated a bit, but the concept of the app really works. Pzizz helps people who have restless sleep at night or feel unwell when they take a nap for a couple of hours.

    You just need to set a time limit for how long you want to sleep, anywhere from 10 minutes to 12 hours. All this time, Pzizz will play music and sounds that will help you sleep better. It is recommended to listen to them on headphones, but a smartphone speaker will also work.

    Lucid dreaming

    Among other things, the program helps manage lucid dreams. The bracelet analyzes the pulse and sleep phase, transmits the data to the software, and at the right time the phone emits a special signal.

    Setting:

    1. Follow the steps above to connect the tracker.
    2. Activate heart rate monitoring.
    3. Return to the general settings menu, in the “Sleep” tab, select “Lucid Dreaming”.
    4. To set sound as a signal, select the appropriate option in “Melody”, set “power” and decide on a comfortable sound.
    5. If you prefer vibration, then in “Melody” select “Silence” and adjust the settings.
    6. Activate heart rate measurement in Tools & Mi band.
    7. Start sleep tracking in Sleep as Android and practice lucid dreaming.

    Don't forget to change the standard sound notification, the melody is quite scary and at night it sounds even more frightening.
