The professional DAC we have at our disposal is capable of reproducing only 44.1/48 kHz, while the other (cheap model) is capable of reproducing even 192 kHz. Theoretically, 192 kHz provides greater technical potential for reducing distortion when converting a digital signal to analog. But the implementation of the DAC is extremely important in this matter from the point of view of the level of distortion. Therefore, a more expensive DAC can provide better sound quality at a lower resolution than a cheaper DAC at a higher resolution.
