I can't send mail from Yandex. Why are letters not sent to Yandex.Mail?

It doesn’t happen that any application or service on the Internet always works perfectly - this also applies to email, sometimes problems arise with it. For example, letters stop being sent. Today I will analyze the main reasons for the appearance of this problem on different email services and describe solutions.

Checking your computer and browser settings

In most cases, the sending problem does not occur on the server side. Maybe the reason lies in the user’s actions: missing some basic steps or performing them incorrectly. It is also possible that problems may arise in the computer settings.

To find out why the letter is not sent, I recommend first taking the following steps to eliminate typical problems:

  • Clearing history, cache and cookies in the browser. In most Internet browsers, all of these actions can be carried out using one tool, simply by checking the boxes next to the required items.
  • Checking the correctness of the typed address. There may have been an error when typing the recipient's email address. If even one character is entered incorrectly, nothing will be sent. Remember that the mailbox address can only contain English letters, numbers and some symbols. There should be no dot at the end and no spaces in the address.
  • Checking the Internet connection. You can simply try loading another site. If there really are problems with the network, I recommend first rebooting the modem/Wi-Fi router. Did not help? Call your provider!
  • Checking the browser operation. Maybe the email service you need does not work well in the Internet browser you are currently using. Try logging into your email from a different browser and sending the email again.

What should you do if, after sending, you receive a report of an undelivered message? It is possible that the email address you provided does not currently exist.

This is also why the email is not sent - the mailbox is unavailable for some reason. For example, due to overcrowding (you should delete old emails) or problems with the mail server (it is better to wait a while, at least half an hour, and resend the email).

If none of the above steps help, then it’s time to deal with your email service.

Invalid email address

The most common cause of problems with sending letters is an error in the mailbox address (the “To” field). Although usually the user thinks of anything, but not of this.

If you miss or type at least one “wrong” letter in the mail name, the letter will not be delivered!

In the best case, the mail site will immediately report this, that is, the corresponding inscription will appear, and you simply will not be able to send the letter.

But it could also be different: the letter is sent, but then a notification arrives that it was not delivered (see Undelivered message).

And there is a third option: the letter will “go” to the address, but not to the one needed. This is the most unpleasant thing, because you may not even know about it.

For example, I need to send a letter to the address

But when typing, I accidentally miss one letter in the name. It turns out not , but .

If I do not notice the error and send this letter, then at best it will not be delivered and I will immediately receive a notification about it.

And in the worst case, my message will still be sent, but it will go to another person. To someone who has a box with a name

Common mistakes

The most common address errors that cause problems with shipping and delivery:

Another common mistake is an incorrectly typed email site (the part after the @ sign). That is, if instead of the yandex .ru part you type yandeks .ru or simply yandex (without .ru), then the letter will not be delivered. And again, we may not even know about it.

Here's how to spell the most popular email sites:

  • yandex.ru
  • gmail.com
  • mail.ru
  • bk.ru
  • inbox.ru
  • list.ru
  • rambler.ru

Emails are not sent from Gmail

This email service is most often used to distribute mailings or for work purposes. Therefore, there are very rarely problems with it in terms of sending letters. And then in such situations, an error message is sent first. If problems arise on the service side, employees will fix the problems as soon as possible.

When you upload a file as an attachment to an email, the service may block it for security reasons.

But why aren’t emails sent from your phone? In such situations, problems arise when the device the client is using does not have enough memory.

If you are unable to figure out why emails are not being sent from your email address, it is better to clear your browser data again, check the correctness of the entered data and your connection to the network.

When all else fails, I recommend contacting the Gmail technical support service. In this case, you should describe the essence of the problem in detail, preferably attaching screenshots.

I received a non-delivery message

If the email cannot be delivered to the recipient, the mail server may respond with a non-delivery report. Some types of reports and solutions to related problems are described below.

Callout verification failed

This error occurs when the mail service for the domain is active on the server of your hosting provider or registrar. If the letter is sent to a recipient who uses the same company's mail service, it will go to the local server.

To resolve this issue, disable the email service on your hosting provider's server. Contact your hosting provider for more information.

RCPT-TO no mailbox

The recipient's domain probably requires sender verification.

Checking the existence of the sender is sometimes used by the receiving server to protect against spam. The server that receives the letter from the new server sends an empty letter to the return address to check if the sender exists. Since these types of empty emails are sometimes sent with high frequency, it can be considered a denial of service (DoS) attack. Additionally, unexpected errors may occur when sending a test message.

Yandex.Mail uses Sender Policy Framework entries to maintain a list of nodes that are allowed to send email on behalf of Yandex.Mail addresses. This makes it difficult to spoof the sender's address. Use Sender Policy Framework or DomainKeys technology as a more effective method of fighting spam.

To solve this problem, contact the administration of the recipient's postal service with a request to add the addresses of your domain mailboxes to the white list of the sender verification service.

550 failed to meet SPF requirements

When receiving letters, the recipient's mail server checks the SPF record on the sender's domain. The SPF record for your domain is probably configured incorrectly, or an extra SPF record is configured. Make sure the SPF record is set according to

When sending a message to Yandex mail, an error may occur and the letter may not be sent. This issue can be dealt with quite simply.

There are few reasons why letters are not sent to Yandex mail. In this regard, there are several ways to solve them.

Reason 1: Browser problem

If an error window appears when you try to send a message, then the problem is in the browser.

To solve it, you will need to do the following:

Reason 2: Problem with Internet connection

One of the possible factors causing the message sending problem could be a poor or missing network connection. To figure this out, you'll need to reconnect or find a location with good connectivity.

Reason 3: Technical work on the site

One of the few options. However, this is quite possible, since any service may experience problems that will require users to restrict access to the site. To check if the service is available, go to and enter mail.yandex.ru in the check window. If the service is not available, you will have to wait until the work is completed.

Reason 4: Incorrect data entry

Quite often, users make mistakes when entering in the “Addressee”

Incorrect e-mail, incorrectly placed signs, etc. In such a situation, you should double-check the printed data for accuracy. If such an error occurs, a corresponding notification from the service will be displayed.

Reason 5: The recipient cannot receive the message

In some cases, sending a letter to a specific person is not possible. This can happen due to banal overcrowding of the mailbox or a problem with the site (if the mail belongs to another service). The sender will only have to wait for the recipient to sort out the difficulties that have arisen.

There are a small number of factors that cause problems with sending emails. They can be resolved quite quickly and simply.

Problem with Mail.Ru

In Mail.Ru, problems with message delivery are also very rare. If sending the letter is unsuccessful, you can try to perform the operation again, this usually helps.

Another option is that a large file was attached to the letter. It either exceeds the established limits of the Mail.Ru service, or due to low Internet speed it does not load.

If you send letters with the same content from your mailbox too often, the service may suspect you of spreading spam. This happens when the box is broken into. You can solve this directly on the service website (usually it is suggested to change the password). You should also check your Outbox folder and find out which emails were sent from your mailbox.

If it doesn’t help, contact Mail.Ru Help. Go to the “Letters” section and look for the corresponding item. Then mark the type of problem and submit a request. The staff will solve the problem.

Undelivered message

If the post office was unable to deliver your letter, it will inform you about this in a special notification.

It happens like this: some time after sending, a letter arrives in which it is written in Russian or English that your message was not delivered.

Here's what it looks like in Yandex.Mail:

And so - in Mail.ru:

So - in Gmail.com:

And so - in Rambler:

Thus, the mail tells us that the sending was unsuccessful - no one received the letter.

This happens for two reasons:

1. The address does not exist

This means that such an address does not exist in nature. It may have been deleted, or perhaps you made a typing error.

Quite often it happens that when they left you an email address, it was accidentally entered with an error. That is, it was not even you who made the mistake, but the one who left it.

2. Box is not available

Unavailable - this means that it is working, but for some reason it cannot accept mail right now.

This is usually due to overcrowding. That is, there are too many letters in the mailbox and there is simply no room for new ones. In this case, the recipient should delete at least one or two letters from the mailbox.

Another reason: problems with the mail site. That is, the site on which the box is located has stopped working. This is usually a temporary phenomenon that goes away within a few hours.

What to do . It is impossible to independently determine what exactly happened. Therefore, if such a notification arrives, you just need to repeat the sending after some time.

If resending fails, then nothing can be done - you will have to contact the recipient in some other way.

Letters do not leave Yandex.Mail

Finding out why emails from Yandex mail are not sent is very simple. This service may still be affected by add-ons or extensions installed in the browser. To check, you just need to turn them off one by one and check the mail operation.

If the letter ends up in “Drafts”, try sending it again. When an email contains attachments, it may just take a little longer to send.

Yandex also allows for the possibility that the page may not display correctly and recommends clearing the cache or deleting cookies in this case. There are also delays on the servers of both the recipient and the user. In such situations, only contacting technical support helps.

There were problems with the operation of the site (not Yandex)

Unfortunately, Yandex support will not be able to answer some questions not related to the operation of Yandex itself. To resolve problems that arise when working with other sites, please contact the administration of these sites.

If your problem is related to the operation of any social network or forum, please contact the support team of this network or forum.

Despite all the advantages of email, there are often difficulties when sending letters. Either the letter is not sent, or the post office cannot deliver it to the addressee.

Let's try to figure out why such problems can arise and how to deal with them.

Problems with Rambler email

There are practically no atypical problems in the operation of this mail service. Usually everything can be solved by adjusting the browser or clearing the cache. This is also one of those services in which the correct date and time are important when sending a letter.

If your account has been blocked, you can remove the block using a special web service. This action must be performed via a computer.

Any other problems can be easily resolved by contacting technical support. It is advisable to describe her character in as much detail as possible and attach screenshots.

How to avoid problems with sending and delivering mail

According to statistics, the most common cause of problems with mail delivery is an incorrectly specified address. That is, in essence, it is not the one who receives the letter who is to blame, but the one who writes it.

Therefore, you must be very careful not only when typing the address in the “To” field, but also in the process of “receiving” it.

If, for example, an address is dictated to you over the phone, do not hesitate to clarify whether you understood this or that letter correctly. It is advisable, of course, to receive it in text form, and not try to understand it by ear (via SMS, via a social network, etc.).

You should also remember that email addresses have a specific syntax. That is, there is, so to speak, a set of rules by which each mailbox address on the Internet is formed.

  • Any address consists only of English letters, numbers and some symbols (dot, hyphen, underscore). No Russian letters!
  • It cannot contain spaces.
  • It always has an @ sign (approximately in the middle) and there is only one sign.
  • After the @ sign there is always the name of a site. And in this name there is always a dot, after which there are a few more English letters (for example, mail.ru, gmail.com).
  • There is no period at the end of the address.

It is advisable, of course, to remember these rules. Then you will not receive the “Invalid email address” error.

Not a single project on the Internet, as is known, is capable of working stably for all users, without exception, for an endless period of time. Due to errors people encounter in the process of sending letters through mail services, the topic of resolving such difficulties becomes relevant.

The first thing you need to draw your attention to is that the vast majority of email services do not have problems on the server side. That is, if you cannot send any letter by email, the reason probably lies in your actions and equipment, and has nothing to do with the actions of the resource’s technical specialists.

Before moving on to a detailed analysis of the problems of each of the most popular services, you should first perform several steps.

If, as a result of following all the above recommendations, you were unable to resolve problems with sending letters, you can proceed to analyzing errors in each individual mail service.

Yandex Mail

When touching on the Yandex mail service, it is important to note that this resource allows you to use the system for connecting your own domain name and sending any messages on behalf of the desired email. Due to this feature, any problems with sending mail with a third-party domain may stem from the invalidity of the registered address.

In addition to the above, an error when forwarding mail may well be associated with the termination of the domain, its blocking, or incorrect settings. Thus, if you encounter these types of difficulties while using your own domain, check it to see if it works.

Problems with an invalid domain name also apply to regular mailbox owners. However, the chance of a user being blocked in the Yandex system is extremely low.

As for general problems, sending errors are most likely caused by the browser or blocking on the recipient's part. They can be solved by cleaning the browser and eliminating the fact of the block on the recipient’s side.

You can always turn to Yandex.Mail technical specialists for help with problems of this kind.

Mail.ru

The email exchange service Mail.ru has problems with delivering messages to the recipient in a rare number of cases. At the same time, almost any problem situation can be resolved using one of the most reliable methods - using special mail programs.

Please note that if mail is unsuccessfully sent to another user, you may need to resend it.

Often, services such as Gmail automatically, due to strong differences in operation, put letters from the domain names of the Mail.ru site in the Spam

at the recipient.

Many users also encounter difficulties due to incorrect operation of the Internet browser they are using. We told you how to get rid of this at the beginning of this article.

If you are unable to resolve any difficulties that arise, please create a request to the technical support of the Mail.ru mail service.

Gmail

Google's email service, as you know, is more aimed at people who use email to organize mailings or work. In view of this, Gmail guarantees almost complete absence of problems with sending letters, the occurrence of which you can find out in the shortest possible time.

If you find yourself among those Gmail users whose messages no longer reach the recipient or are sent at all, you should follow the recommendations for cleaning your browser.

You should also completely rule out the possibility of common problems such as using non-existent data.

Users who do not receive your emails may have some kind of restrictions on their email inbox. This often comes down to automatic filtering of letters or due to reaching the maximum amount of mail stored on the account.

If you fail to avoid errors, you should do the most reasonable thing - contact the technical specialists of the Gmail mail service, providing the appropriate screenshots.

Rambler

The Rambler email forwarding service is not much different from the previously mentioned resources in terms of the problems users encounter. In particular, this concerns the need to first check the browser for stability.

A distinctive feature of the Rambler system is the presence of box settings in a special section. Only by setting the settings properly can you avoid most problems with this service.

If, despite manipulating the box, you still experience errors, it is recommended that you submit a request to Rambler system technical support.

There are a small number of factors that cause problems with sending emails. They can be resolved quite quickly and simply.

From time to time, users complain that they do not receive emails to Yandex. Why might this happen? How to deal with this problem? Is everything really as dangerous as it seems at first glance? All this will be answered further. In fact, there can be a lot of problems. But there is clearly no need to panic. Most situations are resolved without much difficulty.

Problems with email clients

Many people use special email clients. In such applications, you can receive and send messages from different accounts and from several users. But even here problems in work cannot be ruled out.

Microsoft Outlook

If an email is not sent in Microsoft Outlook, you should first check the bottom of the program window. If it says "Offline", "Trying to connect..." or "Disconnected", then communication with the email server has not been established. Sending the letter again will help here.

This is followed by standard diagnostics of the Internet connection and checking for large attachments in the letter. As you already know, some email clients do not support sending files that are too large. It is better to upload such files to the cloud and attach a link to it in the letter.

The sending problem may occur to the user if the password has recently been changed. In Microsoft Outlook, everything changes in Account Settings. The influence of the antivirus is also not excluded.

When none of the above helps, you should restore Microsoft Outlook. When recovery doesn’t help, you should check the profile from which you are trying to send a message.

eM Client

It is worth solving problems with sending in the eM client based on the error message. Correct email configuration is very important for this program. You can solve this problem by changing the port for the SMTP server to 465 using SSL. If this doesn't work, you should use port 587 with TLS or port 25 with SSL.

eM Client can also be blocked by popular antivirus programs. This happened before, but security software manufacturers fixed the problem with the release of an update. Temporarily disabling the antivirus or even uninstalling it should help.

As a last resort, you should reinstall eM Client. Perhaps some damage occurred during installation.

Why don't I receive emails?

The reasons may actually be completely different. I will consider each of the possible ones. Starting from the banal to the quite significant. In total, I discovered 7 such reasons, each of which I tried to explain as clearly as possible. I hope they will help you. In any case, you can ask your question in the comments. So I think sooner or later you will solve the problem, and if not, then I will solve it for you by answering your comment. It's simple!

Reason 1: Problems with the Internet connection

Yes... As I already said, the reasons may be trivial. Check that the computer or mobile device from which you are checking email is connected to the Internet. Perhaps you went to Yandex.Mail and then the Internet went off for some reason. Naturally, your device will not be able to exchange data with Yandex servers and you will not see any changes. And when you refresh the page, it will either freeze or an error will appear stating that there is no Internet connection.

The reason is banal. I think you can eliminate it without me. I would describe this point in much more detail, but why? After all, this is a completely different and larger topic for a separate article.

Reason 2: Spam folder

If letters do not arrive, be sure to look in the “Spam” folder, which is located in your Yandex.Mail account.

It happens that Yandex may consider a letter to be spam. If this happens, you can find the letter in the appropriate folder. Always check this folder when waiting for an email. And if suddenly the letter ends up in this folder, then open it and click Not Spam at the top. As shown in the screenshot.

The above screenshot shows that you are in the Spam folder. Select the letter and cancel by clicking on the button shown below.

After clicking, the letter will move to the Inbox . Plus, letters coming from this email address will not end up in the Spam .

Reason 3: Lots of emails

Everything is quite simple here. You may have a ton of emails in your inbox . If you do not keep your email inbox clean, then the likelihood that you did not notice the letter you need increases.

The new letter can still be noticed (it will be highlighted in bold), but only if the others have been opened (after opening, the highlighting disappears). In addition, the sorting is configured so that new letters will always be higher than old ones. But if you constantly receive letters and you don’t read them, then it will be quite problematic to find what you need.

For example, I constantly receive an average of 20 letters a day. If you don’t read them and sort them or delete unnecessary ones, then over time there will be so many letters in your email inbox... You will have to make an effort to sort everything. How I had to do this after the army)

The conclusion is quite simple. Maintain cleanliness and order. Then everything will be okay.

You can even make it so that letters coming from a specific email address will end up in a specific folder. Or even be automatically deleted. By the way, you may have incorrect settings for this filtering. I wrote about this in the last paragraph.

Reason 4: Forced blocking

This reason is quite simple. Yandex forcibly blocks suspicious emails and you do not receive them at all. That is, it deletes them as they arrive. For good. This is done for your safety, of course. That is, a kind of primary filter through which letters pass.

I wouldn't say it's a minus. No wonder the letter was deleted. Maybe in the past a very suspicious letter was sent from this email and Yandex added it to the blacklist. And now all letters from this email are simply blocked...

Every email service has such a filter. So this is not so much a problem with Yandex, but rather a plus.

Reason 5: Incorrect filter settings

At the end of the 3rd reason I mentioned incorrect filter settings. You can set these settings manually. They help sort incoming emails in different ways. And this is convenient if you receive a lot of letters every day and you need all of them or are simply interesting to read.

Let's say letters from social networks can be immediately moved to a separate folder. Other letters to another. And all this will happen immediately upon receipt of these letters. Agree this is very convenient!

Initially, these filtering settings are disabled. To be more precise, they are not specified. And if you didn’t set up anything like that during registration, then there’s no need to go there. Unless you want to create your own automatic email sorting to make your life easier. In any case, information about the location of these settings will be useful to you.

  1. Log in to Yandex.Mail;
  2. Click the gear icon in the upper right corner;
  3. Select “Email processing rule”;
  4. Take action. Customize filtering as you wish.

The screenshot above shows how to enter these settings. Well, then you will understand what is being done and how. By the way, if you are setting up sorting of letters, then pay attention to the “Manage mailing lists” item.

Reason 6: Sender

It is also possible when a person sends you a letter and he is sure that it was sent, but as it turns out in reality, it was not. Again, the reasons may be the same except for a few. For example, problems with the Internet. And so the letter supposedly went out. For example, a person tells you over the phone that everything is ok. You go check and find nothing.

So check all the above reasons and sort out the problem. If it doesn’t help, then ask to resend the letter.

Reason 7: Third Party Programs

This is the last reason that I was able to discover upon reflection. If you use third-party programs to check your mail, then discard them. Log in to your Yandex.Mail through a browser and check for emails. If the necessary letters are found, the answer suggests itself. There's something wrong with the email program! Again, there can be a lot of reasons for problems and I will not consider them in this article. It's just a rather long story that needs to be covered separately.

Check your internet connection

If your computer is not connected to the Internet, you won't be able to send messages using Outlook.

Open a browser such as Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge, or Chrome.

Enter the URL of one of the following websites in the address bar:

    1. https://www.microsoft.com

      https://www.bing.com

If any of these websites are unavailable, see Troubleshoot network connection problems in Internet Explorer.

If the problem is not resolved, see the next section.

Some email providers (like your ISP or even Gmail) don't allow you to send messages that are larger than a certain size. The presence of pictures and large attachments may prevent the message (and all other messages sent after the large message) from being sent.

Go to Outbox

and open unsent mail messages. Start with the oldest one. If the message contains an attachment larger than 5 MB, delete the attachment and then attach a smaller file or attach a link to the attachment. For more information about attachments, see Attach a file to an email message in Outlook.

Now try sending the message again. If the problem is not resolved, see the next section.

Have you changed your password recently?

If you changed your email account password on the website, you need to change it in Outlook as well.

Note:

If you sign in to your mailbox using the same credentials that you use to sign in online, you won't see the screens shown below.
You will need to change your email password by changing your Windows network password. To do this, press CTRL+ALT+DELETE, select Change Password
and follow the Windows instructions.

After changing your password, you may need to open and send the message again.

Contact your antivirus software support

Some antivirus programs scan email. If an antivirus program detects a virus, it may prevent other messages from being sent or received until the virus is removed.

Repair Outlook

In some cases, you may need to restore Outlook. Recovery is a fairly simple process, but it can take up to half an hour. For more information, see Recover an Office application.

Restore your Outlook profile

A profile is a group of settings that define how Outlook works. It includes a list of accounts, auto-complete data, and the user's name and initials. For instructions on how to restore your current Outlook profile and create a new one, see

Despite all the advantages of email, there are often difficulties when sending letters. Either the letter is not sent, or the post office cannot deliver it to the addressee.

Let's try to figure out why such problems can arise and how to deal with them.
