At the very beginning, I had a dilemma: to make another report, or to do something simpler, more sincere?
It seemed to me that after two reports the third one would not go so well. And I remembered what I love most at conferences - informal conversations after all the reports! I became acquainted with a similar format (BOF) for the first time at Moscow Mobius 2020. I found it so atmospheric and soulful that I instantly fell in love with this format. Then I also remembered that Mosdroid also had round tables, and the participants always liked them.

It was not so easy to choose a topic. Well, what else in this world haven’t we talked about? Initially, I thought of doing some kind of review of past conferences, but then I couldn’t figure out what to discuss there, and gave up. With these thoughts, I came to my friend and mentor, Sergei Boishtyan. We brainstormed the topic with him: “The evolutionary path from one developer to a large team.”

I came to my colleagues with this topic and asked to join the discussion. We were joined by Vladimir Kokhanov, since he had quite a lot of experience leading a large team, and Anton Alexandrov, who had recently become the head of the department.

Shortly before the meetup, we met and discussed topics that we could talk about. But, as usual, things didn't go according to plan. During the round table we discussed:

How approaches change depending on the size of the team.
How to conduct code reviews when there are many of you.
How to properly integrate a new person into the team.

After our tediousness, we gave the microphone to the hall and answered the questions remaining from those present.

There are two ways to get an operator SIM card:

online through the website

To purchase a SIM card you will need a passport. The document should be submitted to the company’s representative offices, the addresses of which are indicated on the official website of Tinkoff Bank.

The second option is more convenient. Submit an application in your personal account/via the mobile application.

When ordering a SIM card, the client has the right to use a valid phone number (the transfer will require 8 days and an application).

Having issued a SIM card, you need to:

insert the plastic into the smartphone;
download the Tinkoff Mobile application from Google Play/App Store;
top up your account;
choose a tariff plan.

There are many ways to replenish:

bank account (a mobile phone number must be linked to it);
Tinkoff personal account;
a special form available on the main page of the official website tinkoff.ru/mobile-operator/ ;
auto payment function. When there are 50 rubles left on the card, the system will debit the amount from the source specified by the client;

Roaming Tinkoff mobile

Low tariffs (2 rubles 90 kopecks) are established for calls to:

Germany and Finland;
Canada;
Israel;

In other countries, a minute of conversation is charged at 29 rubles.

There may be a fee when withdrawing cash abroad

The bank allows you to withdraw from 3 to 100 thousand rubles “from any ATMs around the world” without commission. But this does not always work abroad, where you need to withdraw local currency. Sometimes a commission may be charged by the foreign bank through whose ATM cash is withdrawn.

In the “Help” section on the Tinkoff website there is an explanation: “Foreign ATMs may charge their own commission, unfortunately, we cannot do anything about this.”

The following tips will help you avoid commissions:

choose ATMs of large and well-known banks;
if the ATM warns about a commission, then try to find another one;
You can find an ATM that does not charge a commission on the Tinkoff Bank website or through its application (on the main screen select “More”, then “Info” and the “ATMs” option).

Internet setup and cost

Correct operation of the mobile Internet is possible in the Android system (from version 4.1) or IOS (from version 9). In the Moscow region, only 3G Internet is supported.

To set up the Internet, you can contact technical support to receive an SMS with the settings. The information is compared with smartphone data. If there is a match, but there is no network, it is recommended to move the SIM card from the secondary slot to the main slot.

Correct Tinkoff Mobile mobile Internet settings:

All data is unchanged except Access Point Name. APN is written as m.tinkoff;
In the “Data transfer” column, “Cellular communications” is written. This is done in the settings for iOS;
