Quick Application Service Framework - what is this program and is it needed?

What is this application

Quick Apps, developed by Appian, uses a builder to create mobile utilities. The service offers convenient layouts and widgets for designing individual user tools. This mainly concerns business problems.

The utility does not take up much memory on the smartphone and has virtually no effect on system performance.

Who might benefit from this service?

The program is small in size and does not take up much space on the smartphone. In terms of functionality, it was created to help in running a business and for planning various tasks. It is convenient to use for those who are not involved in large businesses and do not need a brand or their own brand. Of course, large companies, when creating their software products, will not use designers with templates. They develop individual programs for which they pay a lot of money. But for small businesses, a free designer will be of great help. This is an assistant in planning and managing business tasks.

The application will also help you solve personal problems, make plans, organize personal data, and so on.

What features does the application have?

  • Small volume and weight. Therefore, it will not take up much space in your smartphone.
  • The installation does not affect the operation of the smartphone.
  • Allows you to save your data in a cloud service.
  • Convenient and easy to use. Anyone can use it, even those without programming skills.
  • The built-in application cannot be removed from the gadget, but can be disabled.
  • Allows you to sort your data by various parameters: volume, date, and so on.

What users note

If you look at forums on the Internet, you can find reviews about this utility. Some users say that if you do not trade, do not sell various types of services, or are not an entrepreneur or businessman, then this application on your smartphone is unnecessary. In ordinary life, there is no reason for a simple user to construct one. One of the disadvantages is the inability to remove it. Even if you disable it, it turns on again after every MIUI firmware update.

Main functions

Quick Apps has the following features and capabilities:

  • creating simple applications without knowledge of programming languages;
  • copying works “to the cloud”;
  • viewing what was created during the development process, checking the action before assembling all files into one package, that is, before compilation;
  • full view mode of the program being developed (with all data used during development);
  • the ability to share with the click of a button;
  • file filtering;
  • sorting of developed programs (by size, date, memory capacity, etc.).

Applications are written in programming languages: Java (for Android), Swift (for iOS), Javascript. However, the service is easy to learn even for users who do not have the skills to use them.

Quick Apps is in demand for business tasks and is recommended for companies that do not have the budget to create their own program.

It’s a rare person these days who can do without headphones and their favorite music on their smartphone. However, standard tools are not enough to satisfy all requests. This is where dedicated music apps come to the rescue. We present a selection of useful and high-quality applications for music lovers with an Android smartphone.

Shazam

Recommended installation for all music lovers. The application is used to determine which song is currently playing. Let's say you're driving in the car and you like the track that's currently playing on the radio. We take out our smartphone, launch Shazam, it “listens” to the song for a few seconds and gives an answer - the name of the song and the artist. Very comfortably. All “shazamed” tracks are saved in a separate list. It is possible to use the application offline - the track will be determined as soon as you connect to the Internet. The application is free.

Yandex.Music

If you want to listen to a selection of your favorite music, then Yandex.Music is suitable for this. The Yandex.Music music library contains more than 35 million tracks, but not all of them are available for free. To access you need a paid subscription (about $3 per month). This is perhaps the only drawback of the application. Everything else deserves only praise - a selection of music (happy, sad, 2000s, etc.), a huge number of available tracks, a convenient and intuitive interface, the ability to download songs for offline listening. There are tracks in high quality (with high bitrate).

Google Play Music

A serious competitor to Yandex.Music. Multimillion-dollar track database with the option of paid subscription (about $5 per month). Unlike Yandex.Music, it can work as a player and play music from the memory of your smartphone. Music is sorted by genres, artists, track titles, albums. The interface is easy to learn. It is possible to listen to charts and radio stations, but flac files cannot be played. A good base of music for those who for some reason are not satisfied with the Yandex application.

Poweramp

A very popular player in the CIS and just a good application. It works for free for the first 2 weeks, then a fee is required. Supports all imaginable and inconceivable formats including flac and alac. There is also a powerful equalizer, the ability to play folders and much more. Required to install if your main music collection is in your smartphone’s memory. It stands out from its competitors in that it has a built-in tag editor and supports *.cue files. There are practically no disadvantages other than the fee. Some users claim that after installing Poweramp, music began to sound different and even better on their smartphone. Shall we check?

Aimp

The most convenient music player has migrated from desktop computers to smartphones. The most minimalist player, but that doesn't make it any worse. It is free and has wide functionality. In addition to supporting all popular music formats, it plays Internet radio, integrates with the lock screen and supports skins. A 10-band equalizer will allow you to fine-tune the sound, and widgets on the home screen will make controlling the player convenient and simple. By the way, the author of the player is a native of the former USSR. Suitable for those who do not like paid applications like Poweramp.

Phonograph music player

Another free player worthy of attention. Made according to the canons of material design, it is convenient, simple and functional. Has a good rating on Google Play. Built-in tag editor, dynamic interface lighting, customization options, your own library and the ability to create playlists - everything for the user. Updated regularly. A very serious competitor for Poweramp and Aimp. Although the beta version is currently available, the player is quite usable. We recommend that you familiarize yourself with it.

Musixmatch

The application will be useful for those who are interested not only in the melody, but also in the text. It dynamically loads the lyrics of the song that is currently playing in your player. The application is a button hanging on top of all windows, which with one click activates the scrolling of song lyrics.

Compatible with a variety of music players and displays lyrics synchronously over them. Quite informative and convenient. It is possible to enable text translation, and this will be useful for those who study a foreign language. The downside is that there is a paid version with advanced functions, and it also quite significantly loads the smartphone’s RAM, as it constantly works in the background.

Drumpads 24

The application allows you not to listen, but to create your own music. How about recording your first electronic beat? Ready-made paid and free soundpacks make this process simple and straightforward. Wide field for creativity. With Drumpads 24 you can surprise your friends by playing on your tablet during a party. There are quite a lot of samples, and they are all divided by music style. It is possible to record your own track and upload it to soundcloud. A definite must have for those who love not only to listen, but also to create.

Instructions

  1. Select a layout.
  2. Add widgets.
  3. Fill the data with information.
  4. Compile it (create a package from what you get).

The result is a file with the extension “.apk” that can be installed on your phone.

The process is similar to website development. You may have noticed that many sites are similar to each other. The fact is that there are templates (ready-made “layouts”).

They are used for rapid development: they take as a basis the existing “framework”, which consists of different blocks. On websites this is: a logo, a large photo on the theme of the site, a “customer reviews” block, etc. It is enough to choose a framework as a basis and fill it with ready-made widgets.

LineageOS (continuation from CyanogenMod)

Lineage is a legacy of CyanogenMod. Mod fans should say goodbye to CyanogenMod and their favorite features. CyanogenMod was ideal for beginners, as the wiki offered a large collective wealth of knowledge. Lineage was able to post on some of this in the form of its own Wiki. A backup copy of the old wiki was also created for posterity.

Lineage has its own interface.

Lineage has a compact launcher, a feature-rich camera app, and several pre-installed apps, leaving you with plenty of storage space. It also has volume profiles that can mute the phone or make it loud under certain conditions. The privacy feature also sends incorrect data to applications whose privileges are not typically elevated. And the best part: Lineage makes old smartphones fast again.

Unfortunately, Lineage OS recently announced that it is dropping support for over 30 devices. You can find the full list here.

Lineage includes many of the features of CyanogenMod, but lacks an equalizer (right).

jetAudio HD Music Player

The player is still a popular application for listening to music on a PC, but for Android devices it is also considered one of the most popular for several reasons. Firstly, it works with most music formats: *.wav, *.mp3, *.flac, *.ogg, *.wma, *.m4a, etc. Secondly, flexible settings for the equalizer with preset parameters and the ability to customize create the desired sound for musical compositions.

The application is available in two formats: Basic and Plus. The first is free, and for the second the developers ask about 300 rubles. The Plus version expands the graphic equalizer option by 2 times, unlocks the pitch shifter and music playback speed correction, and also offers various visual elements to stylize the player. You can first download the free player, and then, based on how convenient JetAudio HD Music Player turns out to be in use, you can decide to purchase the paid version.

Choose your own presets or create a personalized music sound.

Conclusion: mod or not mod?

Custom ROMs can be the salvation of old smartphones and tablets. They can also clean new smartphones and remove malware. They often speed up smartphones and add more features. But the threshold is high for those who want a mod, as it can be a confusing process for beginners. This threshold is less of a concern thanks to LineageOS, which is much simpler and well supported by many in the active CyanogenMod community.

Is it possible to remove programs and services from Google that I don't need?

Unfortunately, there is no easy way to remove Google services. To remove them, you need to get root rights on your smartphone, that is, hack the gadget, and this can be difficult and risky.

But you can disable all Google services. This is almost the same as deleting, only they will still take up some memory.

After turning off Google services, they will not be able to work, will not consume RAM and battery, they will not be able to be opened, but they will still be stored in the system. You can turn on this or that service at any time and use it again.
