As I already said, such files contain text. From here, let's try to open this file with the simplest text editor, Notepad. So, let's try to open the sitemap.xml file again. Right-click on the file. Select “Open with” and from the drop-down menu, select “notepad”.
Now, we already see the code structure of this document. Do you understand what this code means? Yes, for me. The file lists the addresses of articles on my site, the time they were written, and so on.
So, let's remember what else the system offered to open these files?
