Introduction
The Sony Vegas video editor is well-deservedly popular among video amateurs and professionals.
There is an entire section dedicated to it in the Guide to Digital Video, as well as a popular topic at the iXBT.com conference. Due to the widespread use of AVCHD video cameras, many of their owners have questions about convenient installation of this format. As you know, it is quite “heavy” even for powerful computers with multi-core processors, and the creators of modern video editors are trying to make sure that when saving the editing result to the output file, “intact” pieces of video (for example, when simply gluing together video fragments) are saved without complete recompression, by simply copying the source data.
The previous version of Sony Vegas Pro 8 allowed you to work with video in AVCHD format, but when saving the result, even in the same format, it always carried out complete video transcoding. This leads to the fact that saving a minute-long video on an average-power computer can take tens of minutes, even if you just need to combine several video fragments into one. While in editors that can save AVCHD without complete recoding (for example, Corel VideoStudio Pro X2 Ultimate), a similar operation is performed tens of times faster.
In May 2009, the 9th version of Sony Vegas was released, with which many had fair expectations that it would finally learn how to save material in the AVCHD format without complete recompression. Have these expectations been met? In this review we will try to answer this question.
What's new?
Let's list the main innovations introduced into the Sony Vegas Pro program in version 9.
- Supports 4K and RED ONE™ camera files. Project video frame sizes up to 4096×4096 pixels are supported. For example, the 4K digital cinema standard has a frame size of 4096 x 2160. Vegas Pro 9 also now supports files from the RED ONE™ camera. You can open and edit .r3d files directly on the timeline, just like other video files.
- New lighting effects including Glint, Rays, Defocus, Starburst, Soft Contrast and Fill Light. A more detailed description of the effects is provided here.
- Improved video processing with 32-bit precision (floating point numbers).
- “Dark” color palette (can be switched off). It is possible to customize the color palette of the user interface, which allows people with different color preferences to work comfortably.
- Added several ready-made options for the layout of user interface windows. Even in the previous version, the ability to save any location of windows for restoration if necessary was added.
- Gigapixel image support. For example, this allows you to put a huge panorama on a video track and get the effect of moving around it in the final video using the Event Pan&Crop effect.
- Capture video in MXF format via SD/HD-SDI interfaces. This allows you to capture video from professional digital devices into MPEG2 files in the Sony MXF format. According to the authors of the program, this format has a data stream (bitrate) approximately four times less than Avid DNxHD or Apple ProRes, but allows you to get high quality images of full resolution 1920x1080 with 4:2:2 color thinning.
- Work with XDCAM cameras has been improved: reading XDCAM EX format files, and also added the ability to view XDCAM EX files directly from the camera using the Device Explorer module.
- Updated rendering templates in Sony AVC format. In particular, templates have been added for publishing videos on services like YouTube™, including Internet 4:3 SD 30p, Internet 4:3 SD 25p, Internet 16:9 HD 30p, Internet 16:9 HD 25p templates.
- Rendering to output formats has been improved, with expanded capabilities for saving HD video without full recompression - previously there was only support for the HDV format, now the AVC format has been added (including AVCHD).
The last possibility is perhaps the most interesting from the point of view of the average video enthusiast. As you can easily see, other innovations are of interest mainly to professionals, or are not so important for ordinary installation.
Another innovation has affected the younger version of Sony Vegas Movie Studio: project creation wizards (Wizards) have been added. Vegas Movie Studio 9 now includes two wizards: the first makes it easy to create projects, the second helps you create the final video, allowing you to create a DVD, send a video by e-mail or publish it to YouTube with a few clicks.
This feature, by the way, is not available in Vegas Pro. Before moving on to the most important part of the review (saving AVCHD video), let's look at the differences between different versions of the program, since they are not known and obvious to all users. This is also important because not all of the innovations listed above are available in all versions of Sony Vegas.
Vegas Pro and Vegas Movie Studio
Experience shows that when many users say “Sony Vegas,” they mean different things. The creators of the program have provided several versions of the program that are quite different in capabilities. The “older” version of Vegas Pro is positioned as a professional editor with maximum capabilities (and an appropriate price, of course). For simple fans, or those people for whom some basic features are enough, there is a version of Vegas Movie Studio. The cost of its license is significantly lower - naturally, due to the limited capabilities compared to the “older” Pro version. However, this does not mean that the “minor” version is reduced to the almost primitive capabilities of an editor like Windows Movie Maker, which is built into the Windows system. Based on this version, extended (albeit also “younger”) versions of Vegas Movie Studio Platinum and Vegas Movie Studio Platinum Pro Pack were also made. What are the differences between them?
There is a table on the program website that provides a fairly detailed comparison of the capabilities of all versions. The table, like the entire site, unfortunately, is not presented in Russian, so we will provide here a translated list of differences with some comments (the table itself is huge, to view it in another window, click on its thumbnail).
As you can easily see, using this table to figure out which version is enough for you may not be so easy. Let's try to make this task easier by highlighting the main points inherent in each version of the program.
Vegas Pro . Those interested can go to the program’s website and see the price of this version. It is quite possible that this will be the determining factor in your choice. If we forget about the price, here is a list of the main features present in the Pro version and distinguishing it from all simplified versions (the most significant or interesting are highlighted in bold ):
- Includes DVD Architect version 5.0, not 4.5
- Assembling and burning Blu-ray discs from the DVD Architect program (in fact, the ability to burn Blu-ray is what distinguishes DVD Architect version 5.0 from earlier ones)
- Creating 5.1 surround sound (in lower versions - only stereo)
- Ability to save and restore the location of interface windows
- Ability to enable a custom interface color palette
- View video on an external monitor via DVI (digital output of the video card), and not just through a DV camera connected to the DV interface (IEEE1394)
- Number of video tracks: unlimited (in younger versions - up to 4)
- Video effects and transitions: full set (not all in younger versions)
- Tools for color correction: a complete set (in lower versions only primary color correction)

- Customizable custom templates
- Capture to Compressed Sony MXF format via SD/HD-SDI interfaces
- OpenEXR and DPX support
- RED ONE™ (.r3d) file support
Many may notice that not everything on this list is familiar to them at all. If you don't even know what SDI, AJA or XDCAM are, for example, then most likely you won't need these professional capabilities.
Vegas Movie Studio - what's missing from this version? Perhaps this is the main question to which you need to know the answer in order to understand whether the youngest version of the program is enough for you or not. So, what you may be missing in the most inexpensive version of the program (but what Vegas Movie Studio Platinum already has):
- Building and burning Blu-ray discs
- Audio encoding to AC3 format
- Color Correction Tools
- HDV/AVCHD format support
- Export directly to PSP® (PlayStation®Portable)
- Rendering to Apple® iPod® compatible format
- HDV Capture and Output
As you can see, if you have a high-definition camera, which, as you know, most often save video in HDV and AVCHD formats, then you will have to work with video from these cameras directly in Vegas Movie Studio (without converting to other formats - for example, AVI) forget. However, if you have a standard definition camera (DV or SD DVD), then the lower version may be sufficient (unless you need AC3 audio output format). Take a look for yourself - these opportunities may well be enough for you:
- DVD assembly and burning (includes DVD Architect Studio 4.5)
- Removing red eye from photos
- Viewing video on an external monitor via a DV camera, including simultaneous viewing of video in the Preview window and on an external monitor
- Number of video tracks: up to 4
- Number of clips per track: unlimited
- Video window (Preview)
- Video effects: more than 200, video transitions (2D and 3D): more than 200
- Text animation (scrolling, etc.)
- Chroma Keying/Green Screen effect
- Maximum audio quality: 16 bit/48 kHz
- Number of audio tracks: up to 4
- Number of sound processing effects: more than 10 (ExpressFX and track sets)
- Support for DirectX® effects (without automating parameter changes)
- VST effects support
- Sound Envelopes: Volume/Pan
- ACID loop properties support
- Sound restoration tools
- ASIO™ driver support
- Saving many takes when recording audio
- Compress/stretch video and audio by duration
- Masters of project and film creation
- Non-destructive editing in real time
- “Attraction” of the cursor to editing objects
- "Drawing" envelopes
- Listening to audio in a "scrolling tape" style
- Video and audio synchronization
- Playing clips backwards
- Controlling video movement in a window
- Embedded YouTube Publishing
- Windows Media® 11 format support
- Publication on ACIDplanet.com
- DV Capture with Scene Breaking
- Output to DV tape
- Burning VideoCD and Multimedia CD
- MP3 support (open and save)
- MPEG 1&2 (import and encoding)
Agree, these opportunities cannot be called completely modest, and these are not all the capabilities of the program (you can read more about working in Sony Vegas in a series of articles). However, as stated, they may not be enough if you need to edit video from an HD camera. In this case, the Vegas Movie Studio Platinum version is suitable for you.
As you remember, there is another version - Vegas Movie Studio Platinum Pro Pack . What's added to it? Let's look at the list of add-ons:
- Sound Forge Audio Studio 9
- Set of 1,001 sound effects
- A set of new transitions and video effects Blue 3D
The most significant addition here is the Sound Forge Audio Studio program - a basic version of the famous sound editor with extensive sound recording and editing capabilities, including useful tools for restoring sound from vinyl records and other noisy sources, as well as removing voices from recordings (creating “backing tracks” "for karaoke). It also includes many effects for sound processing (most of them, by the way, are also available in Sony Vegas), but its detailed consideration is beyond the scope of this review.
Conclusions . As can be understood from the comparison made, for “home” use (and, in many cases, even professional use), the Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum version is quite sufficient. It allows you to edit video from any household SD/HD video cameras (and most professional ones that do not have specific interfaces for communication with a computer or non-standard video file formats), do rather complex editing and save the result to DVD or Blu-ray disc. The “youngest” version is only enough to work with SD video. Professionals will most likely choose Sony Vegas Pro with maximum capabilities and price.
Saving AVCHD
Let's move on to the most interesting part of the review of the Sony Vegas Pro 9 program - saving AVCHD video (this feature is also available in Vegas Movie Studio Platinum). To conduct experiments, we will take video from several AVCHD video cameras. At hand were videos from cameras Canon HF10, Canon HF100, Panasonic HDC-HS9, Panasonic HDC-SD1, Sony CX-12, SONY HDR-SR7. First, let's try to launch Sony Vegas Pro 9 and open video from these cameras in it.
If the new color scheme of the program interface seems unusual to someone, you can return the usual look: Options/Preferences menu, Display tab, disable the Use Vegas color scheme option. You can also disable the Display timeline at bottom of main window option if you prefer to place the timeline at the top rather than at the bottom of the main window.
In the Explorer window, click on the file - the video and audio format in it is shown at the bottom of the window:
This means that the program “understood” the file format. Videos from all the listed cameras were checked - the program successfully opens them all.
The file can be placed on the timeline by simply dragging the mouse onto it. It is important that the file format matches the project format. Let's take a video from a Panasonic HDC-HS9 camera - it contains an image with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels, 25 interlaced frames per second. Open the project properties window (Alt+Enter) and set the same video parameters for the project. In the list of Template templates there is a ready-made one that suits us:
If we are only going to work with video from one video camera (and for most people this is the case), it is better to enable the Start all new projects with these settings option before clicking OK. In the future, when creating a new project, the set parameters will be set automatically.
Now we can carry out the first experiment - saving the video to an output file. To do this, call up the File/Render As menu, and select Sony AVC in the “File Type” list. A new feature of the program is immediately visible - in the Templates list, after this, a format will be immediately selected that allows you to save the video without recompression:
Such formats are marked in the Templates list with the equal sign “=”. If you click on the list, it turns out that there can be more than one of these formats:
Select the template format AVCHD 1920×1080 50i, which corresponds to the format of the source file, specify the name and location of the output file, and click the “Save” button. As you know, during saving, the program shows the current transcoded video frame in the preview window. In this case, the treasured inscription “No recompression required” appears on a black background, which means the desired result - the video is not recompressed!
Let's try to complicate the task: put several videos from different AVCHD video cameras with the same parameters (resolution, frame rate, interlacing) into one project. In this case, the parameters from the videos of the Panasonic HDC-SD1, Sony CX-12, SONY HDR-SR7 cameras turned out to be the same. However, the frame size is already 1440x1080 (non-square pixel, anamorphic image), so you need to remember to change the project parameters (select HDV template 1440x1080, 50i). When saving, the equal sign is now opposite the AVCHD 1440×1080-50i format (which is logical). Select it, click “Save” and again see the treasured inscription “No recompression required” in the preview window:
But we can only be partially happy: during the rendering of the first two videos there was no overcompression, and when it came to the video from the Sony HDR-SR7 camera, an image appeared in the preview window, saving slowed down sharply, and the load on the processor increased greatly:
That's right - complete overcompression. Let's try to find out why it happens. An obvious assumption is the difference in video formats in the first two videos and the video from the Sony SR7 camera. In Vegas itself it was not possible to see any difference - it does not display all the details about the video compression format. The SmartLabs tsMuxeR program will help us with this. If you open it (the “Add” button) video from the Sony CX-12 camera, then in the Track Info field for the video stream we will see the line: “Profile: [email protected] ”. If you add a video from Sony SR7, then in the same field it is shown: “Profile: [email protected] ”. Now the difference is visible - different AVC format profiles are used.
Let's try to test this hypothesis:
- Let's leave in the project only the video from the Sony SR7 camera.
- Call the File/Render As menu.
- In the Template list, select the same format “= AVCHD 1440×1080 50i”.
- Click the Custom button and open the Video tab. Don’t forget to make sure that “High definition 1440×1080” is selected in the Frame Size list.
- The most important thing is to select “Main” instead of “High” in the Profile list.
- Click OK. In the Template list, the equal sign disappeared, but an asterisk (*) was added in parentheses. Does this mean that there will be a complete recompression?
- We press the “Save” button and see the desired result - there is no recompression, in the preview window when saving, “No recompression required” is shown.
It turns out that before working with AVC video from each camera, you need to check not only the resolution and frame rate, but also the AVC format profile, and this can be done using the tsMuxeR program. Once this is done once, you can save the custom compression settings in a Preset and use them every time you output the resulting file.
But will this work with any AVC cameras? Let's take a video from Sanyo Xacti HD700. It is stored in an MP4 container, Vegas successfully opened this file, showing the following parameters for its video format: AVC, 1280x720, 29.97 fps. Let’s select the appropriate project format: “HDV 720-30p” and try to save the resulting file. In the Templates list, select the format with the equal sign: “= Internet 16:9 HD 30p”. Unfortunately, no amount of manipulation with the encoder parameter settings resulted in the video being saved without complete recompression.
It may well be that the first release of the 9th version of the program has some shortcomings when saving AVCHD without recompression, which is partially confirmed by the following experiments (but let’s not get ahead of ourselves just yet). In any case, the first experiments showed that the new version of the program was able to save video from many AVC video cameras (videos from Canon HF10 and HF100 cameras were also tested) without complete recompression.
It remains to check the most important thing - how will the program behave if the videos are partially changed?
First, let's try to superimpose two videos that did not require recoding, partially on top of each other, to get a transition between them:
We save the result with the same settings, and what do we see? As soon as the rendering reached the transition between videos, full recoding began, even a little before the transition began. And then the recoding continued until the very end of the second video, although only the beginning was affected by the change. It turns out that if the beginning of the video is changed, then the whole thing is recoded?
To check this, let’s conduct a simpler experiment: leave only one video on the track, and “cut off” the very beginning from it, just one frame. The result confirms our assumption: the video was indeed completely recoded.
Does recoding occur if only the end of the video is “trimmed”? Let's take the second, longer video of 33 seconds, reduce its duration to 20 seconds from the end and save it to the output file:
Although the video was shortened only at the end, it was during the rendering of its end that the data was also recompressed, which is confirmed by the disappearance of the “No recompression required” inscription and the appearance of the image in the preview window.
As a result of these simple experiments, some conclusions can be drawn:
- saving video without recompression is not supported for all AVCHD cameras (possibly for now)
- there is no way to tell the program to automatically adjust the encoding settings for any of the source videos (perhaps this would solve the problem that videos from some cameras will be completely re-encoded only because it is not known exactly what encoding settings need to be made)
- There is no overcompression at all only if the videos are simply connected end-to-end on a track, without any editing or overlays
- if the video is “trimmed” or modified (for example, by applying a transition) only from the end, then the beginning of the video is not recompressed (however, the end is recompressed even if it is simply “trimmed”)
- if the video is “cut” or changed only from the beginning, then it is completely recompressed
The findings are not very encouraging. Perhaps some will even consider the first release of the 9th version of Vegas to be the “first damn thing” in terms of saving AVCHD material without recompression. In fact, there is no overcompression only in the simplest cases. And even with a very simple installation, when the videos are simply “cut” and superimposed on each other with short transitions, everything except the very first video will be overcompressed.
Unfortunately, at the moment we do not have the ability to test videos from all existing consumer AVCHD video cameras, and sufficient experience to understand exactly what encoding settings, other than size and frame rate, can affect the ability to save without recompression. We will try to do this as much as possible and, as soon as enough information has accumulated, we will definitely tell you about it. The topic of AVCHD editing is still far from being exhausted, so we invite you to share your experience in the popular topic of the iXBT.com conference.
conclusions
Despite the fact that saving AVCHD without full recompression is only partially implemented in the new version, the appearance of this feature in Sony Vegas cannot but rejoice. There may be software updates released in a few months that will hopefully improve the situation.

Possibilities
The program deservedly gained its popularity as soon as it entered the consumer market. Without its use, it is very difficult for a good specialist to make high-quality video editing. This is an indispensable editor that, using proper settings, will do the job efficiently in real time.
The official developer's website supports updates that:
- very comfortably;
- saves time.
There is the possibility of good video editing with professional disc recording. Need to do multi-track recording? No problem. During installation, processes proceed quickly, without delays. High sound quality after processing will undoubtedly become a feature of the finished work. You can edit using multiple cameras. A high-quality video editor will handle it without any problems.
High expansion parameters are not an obstacle to working with video. It is possible to download the Sony Vegas Pro version for free. A multilingual menu is convenient for customers who do not know or have poor command of one specific language.
Description
Professional program Sony Vegas Pro is designed for editing, editing and multi-track recording of video and audio streams. The program has in its arsenal tools that allow you to process and edit materials in HDV, SD/HD-SDI, DV, AVCHD and XDCAM™ formats in real time, make precise audio adjustments, create surround sound audio and dual-layer DVDs. To save recordings in high quality, it is possible to burn Blu-ray discs directly from the timeline. It will be easy for you to create a standard DVD with complex videos, multilingual menus, subtitles and added commentary. Vegas offers an infinite number of video and audio tracks, each of which has its own pair of (A/B) tracks, advanced tools for composing music, supports multi-channel input-output in full duplex mode (26 physical outputs can be used for signal output with an independent mixing bus on each), real-time resampling, automatic creation of crossfades, synchronization via MIDI Time Code and MIDI Clock, dithering (with noise shaping) on subgroup outputs and, of course, 24/32-bit audio with a sampling rate of 192 kHz. For real-time audio processing, you can install a four-band parametric equalizer and compressor in the insert of each track, as well as use 32 sends to DirectX plug-ins. Different data formats can be added to the same track simultaneously, without conversion or rendering. In addition, the program supports such “advanced” functions as working with two processors and two monitors.
Bit depth
When installing Sony Vegas on your computer, you must take into account that the Windows 32 operating system supports 32 bits. Similarly, if the operating system is installed 64-bit, then the choice will be 64 bits, respectively.
The 64-bit operating system is stronger; it is currently not installed on all computers. 32 bit Windows works fine and supports this application. There are differences in the installation process.
Quacked
Very often, software is hacked, all available protections against penetration into the program. The hacked version has no limitations in capabilities. This happens using another application - crack. The distorted version is a crack.
You can crack or hack it using the owner’s registration key. As a rule, you can find it in the program folder. Quacked Vgeas can be downloaded from the links below.
MAGIX Vegas Pro 18.0.0 Build 334 + Repack + Portable + Suite / 11.0 Build 700 x32
A new version of a professional program for multi-track recording has been released; you will also be able to edit and edit video and audio streams at a fairly high level. I think many people know this development, I can only recommend downloading Sony Vegas Pro
from our project in full news. The program has a large number of tools, they make it possible to edit and process various video formats online at a professional level, for example DV and AVCHD, as well as HDV and XDCAM, you can make the most accurate adjustment of audio streams, you can even create your own surround sound . If necessary, the program will help you burn a Blu-Ray disc with all timelines, and the recording will be saved in high quality. You can create simple DVDs with complex videos, adding subtitles, you can create a multilingual menu, add your own comments, and so on.
Sony Vegas Pro supports working with very high resolution frames, in a dozen versions up to 4096x4096, with this level of detail you will get more flexibility when working with video. Advanced users will especially like this, because working with video effects is much more convenient. The program can easily work with RED ONE files, so opening and editing an .r3d file directly on the timeline is as easy as working with any video file. Sony Vegas Pro contains more than two hundred different types of effects, including lighting. Now working with light in a frame will become much clearer and more convenient; you will be able to detail the light at a professional level, change the focus of the frame, adjust the backlight, and this is only a small part of the program’s capabilities.
If we look at the program’s interface, then, of course, its ease is immediately visible; the color scheme is quite soft and conducive to convenient work. You can work with several materials at once in separate windows, and carry out editing in several files at once. With this program you can create very high-resolution panoramic images, there is support for working with a scanner, you can crop the image to create a sequence, all this can be done in HD resolution. In general, you can describe the capabilities of Sony Vegas Pro for a very long time, there are simply a huge number of them, you can’t remember everything at once, so I think we can end the review here, just below I will write a short instruction on how you can cure the program. Don’t forget that this is one of the professional programs for working with video, so if you are a master in this matter, I think Sony Vegas Pro will definitely be useful to you.
After installing the program, you need to copy the key generator to the folder where the application was installed, then launch it and from the list you need to select our product Sony Vegas Pro version, but do not make a mistake with the bit depth.
Next, you need to click on the patch, after which you need to specify the folder with Video plugins, then you can run the program and enter the Serial number in the first window, no other of the three that are already entered in the generator. Next, you need to select registration on someone else’s computer, fill out three fields, select next, after which you will be asked to insert the computer ID, copy it from the generator and click next, before that you will be asked to save the HTML page. In general, this manipulation can be completed; here is a working version of Sony Vegas Pro. Developer

About the program
It has long been established that ordinary literacy for the majority is to be able to write without making mistakes. But progress does not stand still, and now, for many, literacy is the ability to read from a screen and type on a keyboard.
In any case, most things, which include a computer, smartphone, camera and other equipment, have become completely commonplace. And people who cannot use them automatically become “illiterate.”
"What? Can't you edit the video? Maybe you also use paper photographs?” - not stated, but perhaps such a question will arise someday in the future.
With progress in the technological field, a video shot even with a simple camera is almost as good in quality as a picture created by a “digital artist” with six years of experience. Each home video must be processed and only then recorded onto disc.
After reading this, the question arises: “How to do this?” – using video editor Sony Vegas Pro 9.
Sony Vegas Pro 9 is a masterfully written program for audio editing and video editing, as well as for multi-track recording. Vegas provides an endless number of tracks for both audio and video. Improved tools for working with audio processing, maintaining multi-channel I/O at full duplex. Resampling in real time, automated production of crossfades.
Absolutely every product created by Sony is labeled with a popular brand. The consumer is very critical of any software that is released by this company. And all because the consumer wants to get something more than a regular audio-video editor.
Programmers do a tremendous amount of work to ensure that their creation meets all user requirements. And, it should be noted that in relation to Sony Vegas Pro they succeed. The seriousness of their intentions is evidenced by the fact that the program was made for two versions - 32 and 64 bit systems.
In order to output the signal, there are 26 physical. exits. Synchronization occurs via MIDI Time Code and MIDI Clock, dithering at the output of subgroups has 24/32-bit sound with a frequency of 192 kHz.
To perform real-time audio editing, it is possible to provide an insert in each track, as well as operate 32 sends for plug-ins using the “DirectX” format. The program includes the ability to partially reframe material (Digitlal Video). The lower manipulations are performed in the “RGB” color space.
Special problems that you may encounter when editing a video in all editors are difficult navigation throughout the content. To be able to move from one fragment to another, Vegas Pro 9 has introduced the ability to use numbered markers, their number is from 1 to 99. These markers mark places on the timeline.
In addition to all of the above, Sony Vegas Pro version 9 has support for the latest modern features, such as working with multiple processors and a pair of monitors. It is possible to move MPEG/AC3 data from a DVD camcorder. The editor allows you to transfer data from VOB and AC3 audio streams directly to the timeline.
This program is intended primarily for professional video editing, and, oddly enough, the interface is significantly different compared to many similar programs, in which everything is done in one field, and any problem is solved by pressing one button.
It is important to note:
- Considering that there are a large number of complex tools, the program is suitable for both professionals and beginners;
- During the editing process, there is no need to worry about “damaged” content. The program contains an infinite number of return actions performed by mistake.
Also, at the moment there is already an updated latest version of this program. Its name is Sony Vegas Pro 9.0c. Sony Vegas Pro 9.0c is the latest update to the global video editor Vegas Pro 9, created by Sony.
What's new in it?
- Advanced time-stretching and pitch-changing algorithm for audio. There are modes: Pro, Soloist, Efficient;
- Supplemented with rendering in XDCAM EX(MP4) format, and recording of this format back to the camera, to an SxS card;
- Added quality settings for MXF compression during capture (much poor quality allows compression during capture with low hardware power);
- Improved work with R3D data, + added direct import using Device Explorer.
